Mon Jul 10 202318:29Hawks Pick Up Player Option On Bruno Fernando
The Atlanta Hawks have decided to pick up the 2023-2024 player option on center Bruno Fernando. The 24-year-old will make a little less than $2.6 million next season. The expectation is that Fernando will fill the role as the third center on the roster. That being said, it's unlikely that he gets much playing time unless something happens to Clint Capela. This appears to be mainly a depth move for Atlanta, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect Fernando to have fantasy value going into the season.

Thu Dec 8 202214:25Bruno Fernando Questionable On Thursday With Illness
Houston Rockets center Bruno Fernando (illness) has been tagged as questionable ahead of the team's Thursday night contest against the San Antonio Spurs. The 24-year-old is dealing with a non-COVID illness right now which he must have picked up during the two-day break since their last game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Fernando just started to ramp up his minutes over the last few games, but his productivity hasn't been anything to write home about. He's only worth adding in very deep leagues if fantasy managers are desperate for rebounds and a couple of blocks.

Sat Nov 26 202215:28Bruno Fernando Out On Saturday
Houston Rockets center Bruno Fernando (knee) is out on Saturday versus OKC for maintenance purposes. The 24-year-old played on Friday night against Atlanta for the first time in over a month after being sidelined with a knee injury. Alperen Sengun (groin) didn't suit up for that one, so Fernando got the start and finished with seven points, three rebounds, and a block. However, with Sengun expected back for the meeting with the Thunder, Fernando likely wouldn't have offered fantasy managers much, even if he were available.

Fri Nov 25 202218:29Bruno Fernando Active On Friday
Houston Rockets center Bruno Fernando (knee) is available for Friday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. The big man will see his first game action since October 21. This is good timing for the Rockets with Alperen Sengun (groin) ruled out. However, it's unknown how much playing time Fernando will see in his first game back. Usman Garuba could very well be asked to fill in for Sengun during this game. Neither player is a great streaming option, but Fernando could have value down the line, so fantasy managers should keep an eye out for him.

Sat Oct 22 202215:04Bruno Fernando Misses Saturday's Contest
Houston Rockets center Bruno Fernando (knee) won't be available for Saturday's game against Milwaukee. The 24-year-old big man left Friday's loss to Memphis early with left knee soreness and it appears that it's still bothering him. All the hype has been around Alperen Sengun, but Fernando has started the season as Houston's starting center and he looked very impressive in the season opener on Wednesday against Atlanta, bagging seven points with nine rebounds, seven assists and two blocks. He had to settle for just four points, four rebounds and two assists in 12 minutes Friday. Sengun saw extended minutes with Fernando unavailable and went off for 23 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks. He will look to repeat the performance Saturday night.
