Fri Oct 20 202309:43Kings Waiving Jaylen Nowell
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Sacramento Kings are waiving guard Jaylen Nowell on Friday. After playing in Minnesota for four seasons, the Kings signed Nowell to an Exhibit 10 deal, but he didn't seem to prove enough to stick around on the roster. He had an uphill battle as he was battling for just the third-string spot at point guard while most likely not getting any minutes at shooting guard. Nowell could find his way onto another team, but he won't be fantasy relevant as he'll still be looking at more of a depth role.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Jaylen Nowell (knee) is questionable to play Tuesday against the Denver Nuggets for Game 5. Nowell has been dealing with a knee injury over the past week and only played three minutes last game. If Nowell is able to go, he will likely be in the backend of the rotation for Minnesota. Nowell shot 0-for-4 and grabbed three rebounds last game.

Sun Apr 23 202321:30Jaylen Nowell And Josh Minott Both Available For Game 4
Minnesota Timberwolves guard and forward Jaylen Nowell and Josh Minott have both been upgraded to available for Game 4 on Sunday night against the Denver Nuggets. Minott is unlikely to crack the rotation, but Nowell has been a prominent backup for the team throughout the year. He should see around the 19-20 minutes that he was seeing per game in the regular season.

Thu Apr 20 202321:56Jaylen Nowell Uncertain For Game 3
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Jaylen Nowell (knee) is listed as questionable for Friday's Game 3 against the Denver Nuggets. He carried a questionable tag into last game and ended up playing 16 minutes in that one. The expectation is that Nowell will likely suit up again for Game 3, but fantasy managers will have to check back and see. Otherwise, Nickeil Alexander-Walker could see more minutes in the rotation. Although, increased playing time probably won't give him enough value to warrant streaming.

Wed Apr 19 202314:28Jaylen Nowell Questionable For Game 2
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Jaylen Nowell (knee) is regarded as questionable for Wednesday's Game 2 against Denver. He was also questionable for Sunday's Game 1 but ended up playing 22 minutes. Nowell had a decent game with three triples, 12 points and two assists, but it was a blowout loss for the team and it's unclear what kind of a role head coach Chris Finch sees for Nowell in the series in a normal situation. The 23-year-old had a decent regular season off the bench, averaging 10.8 points with 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 19.3 minutes.

Nowell was available on Tuesday, but only ended up playing 13 minutes in the loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Mon Apr 10 202319:18Jaylen Nowell Trending In Right Direction
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Jaylen Nowell (knee) is trending in the right direction for Tuesday's play-in matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. The 23-year-old has missed the last six games due to a lingering knee issue. He has only played 44 total minutes since February 24, but that was partly due to the fact that the Wolves have been mostly healthy. Now, they will be without Rudy Gobert and Jaden McDaniels for Tuesday's contest. That means, Nowell could play a bigger role than usual, assuming he's able to suit up. Fantasy managers will have to check back on Tuesday for another update on his status.

Sun Apr 2 202313:54Jaylen Nowell Questionable Again For Sunday
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Jaylen Nowell (knee) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against Portland. He continues to be bothered by a left knee tendinopathy, although that injury is nothing new. The 23-year-old missed the last two games because of the ailment. However, with Anthony Edwards (illness) in danger of missing this one, Nowell has a shot at entering the starting lineup. Nowell has averaged 23.5 points in two starts in 2022-23, so DFS managers may look in his direction if he rolls with the first five.

Sun Feb 26 202318:19Jaylen Nowell And Taurean Prince Out Sunday
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Jaylen Nowell (knee) and forward Taurean Prince (personal) have been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Golden State Warriors. Both Nowell and Prince were questionable to play before being ruled out with their respective ailments. Austin Rivers and Nickeil Alexander-Walker should see a slight increase in minutes, but do not offer much in terms of fantasy value.

Wed Jun 29 202220:42Jaylen Nowell Staying In Minnesota, For Now
The Timberwolves exercised the team option on forward Jaylen Nowell on Wednesday night, paying him nearly $2 million for 2022-23. The 22-year-old has averaged 8.1 points, 1.9 boards, and 1.8 assists through his three years in Minnesota. He's spent most of his time on the bench during that time, with his role not expected to change anytime soon. However, there's a chance he may be on another roster come October. If that's the case, Nowell's fantasy outlook could get brighter.

Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Jaylen Nowell erupted for a game-high 29 points off the bench during a 108-103 victory over the Boston Celtics on Monday. The 22-year-old shot 10-for-18 from the field, including 6-for-9 from deep, and 3-for-4 from the line. The Washington product also added six rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a turnover across 35 minutes.
