Wed Mar 2021:05Amir Coffey Starting Against Portland
Los Angeles Clippers forward Amir Coffey will start in Wednesday's matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers. Terance Mann (shoulder) was injured during practice on Tuesday, while Norman Powell (leg) will miss his second straight contest. But now that Coffey will roll with the first five, DFS managers must keep him on the radar, especially since he's averaged 11.3 points in 10 starts throughout the 2023-24 campaign.

Wed Sep 6 202301:22Amir Coffey Gets Two Misdemeanors From July Arrest
Los Angeles Clippers guard/forward Amir Coffey's July 30 arrest has resulted in two misdemeanors. "The Los Angeles City Attorney's Office has filed one count of carrying a loaded firearm and one count of carrying a concealed firearm against Coffey", per TMZ. The 26-year-old is yet to comment on the charges, and things certainly don't sound to be getting any better. Coffey is expected back in court later in September for a hearing on the situation. Fantasy managers should have already been avoiding the former undrafted swingman before these developments occurred.

Mon Jul 31 202314:11Amir Coffey Arrested On Gun Possession
Los Angeles Clippers forward Amir Coffey was arrested on misdemeanor possession of a firearm in a car where he was a passenger over the weekend. The car was pulled over for speeding, but the police smelled marijuana as they approached the vehicle and searched it. They found a gun that Coffey admitted was his and he was booked into jail. He was later released and will have a court date sometime in August. The Clippers have acknowledged the situation and said to be looking into it. Coffey signed a three-year deal with the Clippers last season. He has been playing a reserve role off the bench, which is unlikely to change.

Sat Oct 1 202214:34Amir Coffey Drops 11 Points In Preseason Win
Los Angeles Clippers guard/forward Amir Coffey finished with 11 points during Friday's preseason win over Israeli club Maccabi Ra'anana. The 25-year-old logged 18 minutes, shooting 4-for-6 from the field while adding five rebounds and three steals. Last season, Coffey made 30 appearances in the starting lineup, averaging 13.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and shot 42.5% from deep. He's reportedly added some muscle throughout the offseason, so it appears he's committed to having a breakout year in 2022-23. Fantasy managers shouldn't go out of the way to acquire Coffey, but he's a guy who could easily land a routine spot off the bench.

Thu Jun 30 202221:26Amir Coffey Agrees To New Deal With Clippers
Free-agent guard Amir Coffey is returning to the Clippers on a three-year, $11 million deal. The 25-year-old averaged 9.0 points and 2.9 rebounds while shooting 37.8% from deep last season. Yet, his numbers throughout his 30 appearances as a starter were a little better. Coffey's versatility allows him to play multiple positions, so he should continue to be a reliable bench asset for L.A. in 2022-23. Still, he probably won't be a consistent fantasy option, so his services should be left for those in deeper formats or when he's allotted extra minutes.

Mon Apr 11 202215:29Amir Coffey Drops Career-High 35 Points, First Double-Double
LA Clippers small/power forward Amir Coffey enjoyed the best all-around performance of his professional career during Sunday's win over Oklahoma City. Coffey shifted into the starting five and took advantage of his 43 minutes played to compile a career-high 35 points to go along with the first double-double of his career. Coffey shot 13-for-22 overall, including going 7-for-10 from deep, while snatching 13 boards and dishing out five assists. The 24-year-old's playing time was sporadic throughout the regular season, but with Paul George and Norman Powell back in the mix, Coffey is unlikely to hold DFS relevance if the team advances beyond the Play-In Tournament. He finishes the year having averaged nine PPG across 69 contests (30 starts).

Sat Apr 2 202211:48Amir Coffey Drops Career-Best 32 Points During Victory
LA Clippers shooting guard/small forward Amir Coffey had his offense clicking during Friday's victory over the Bucks, as he collected a career-high 32 points across his whopping 43 minutes. Widespread absences among Clippers regulars paved the way for Coffey's offensive role to increase, which he parlayed into a 10-for-16 shooting performance, including for 5-for-9 from behind the arc. In addition to the points, Coffey knocked down all seven of his free throw attempts, and added seven assists, six rebounds, and four steals. His role with Paul George back in the mix remains largely unclear, but he has proven to be a savvy DFS option on nights where key LA regulars are unavailable.

Sat Jan 1 202219:29Amir Coffey Joins Starting Five On Saturday
Los Angeles Clippers forward Amir Coffey will move into the starting five for Saturday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. Marcus Morris Sr. (rest) was a late scratch, which is assumed to be because of rest purposes. Nonetheless, Coffey will start alongside Terance Mann, Serge Ibaka, Reggie Jackson and Eric Bledsoe. He is averaging 8.3 points and 5.5 rebounds across 26 minutes this season. Coffey could have some low-end streaming appeal for Saturday's slate.
