Fri Mar 15 201317:56Carrillo's suspension related to Biogenesis
FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that Cesar Carrillo's 100-game suspension is related to his name surfacing in the Biogenesis documents.
The announcement from MLB noted that Carrillo violated the minor league drug policy. This is an important distinction because minor league players who are not on the 40-man roster do not have the same protection as major leaguers do. This is nothing more than speculation for now, but it's possible the suspension was levied after he refused to cooperate with MLB's investigation into the Biogenesis clinic.
