Mon Mar 1115:48Saddiq Bey Suffers Season-Ending Torn ACL
Atlanta Hawks forward Saddiq Bey (knee) suffered a season-ending torn left ACL in Sunday's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans after an MRI revealed the injury on Monday morning. Bey will be a restricted free agent this summer and has submitted 13.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game for the Hawks this season. De'Andre Hunter has reached double scoring figures in 14 consecutive games and is in line for a sizable boost in playing time.

Sun Mar 1020:23Saddiq Bey Leaves Sunday, Will Not Return
Atlanta Hawks forward Saddiq Bey (knee) hyperextended his knee at the beginning of the fourth quarter while on a fastbreak and exited the game. The Hawks later announced that he would not return. The fourth-year sharpshooter has only missed one game so far this season, so hopefully the hyperextended knee doesn't cause him to miss that much time. The team announced pretty quickly that it was a hyperextension, so it's unclear if there will be any more tests on it the next day. Fantasy managers will have to stay tuned to an official report to see if he'll miss extended time. If he does have to miss at least one game, De'Andre Hunter would likely be the next man up.

Mon Feb 505:45Saddiq Bey Questionable For Monday
Atlanta Hawks forward Saddiq Bey (ankle) could be out for a second consecutive game on Monday against the Clippers. Bey sprained his left ankle against Phoenix on Friday and wasn't available for Saturday's contest versus Golden State. Garrison Mathews took Bey's spot in the starting unit but logged only 16 minutes. Bogdan Bogdanovic ended up picking up extra shifts off the bench and logged nearly 40 minutes in an overtime game. He will be counted on a lot again if Bey can't play on Monday.

Sat Feb 314:18Saddiq Bey Won't Play Versus Golden State
According to Kevin Chouinard of Hawks.com, forward Saddiq Bey (ankle) won't play in Saturday's matchup with the Golden State Warriors. The veteran sprained his ankle during Friday's win over the Phoenix Suns, ending his night after 16 minutes. But with De'Andre Hunter (knee) and Dejounte Murray (back) questionable entering the contest, it's anyone's guess who would benefit on the scoring end outside of Trae Young, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Jalen Johnson, and Onyeka Okongwu.

Tue Oct 17 202309:39Saddiq Bey Returns With Nice Double-Double
Atlanta Hawks forward Saddiq Bey was back in action in Monday's preseason contest against Indiana, leading all scorers with 21 points and grabbing a game-high 10 rebounds. His impressive outing included two steals in 20 minutes off the bench in a 116-112 loss. Bey, who shot 7-for-10 from the field and 2-for-3 from behind the arc Monday, had sat out the previous two preseason contests. Following his trade from Detroit to Atlanta, Bey's fantasy value took a significant hit last season, as he went from a starter to a bench piece, but with John Collins out of the way, the 24-year-old has a chance to become a starter again for his first full season as a Hawk.

Mon Feb 13 202314:41Saddiq Bey To Play On Monday
Atlanta Hawks forward Saddiq Bey is set to make his team debut on Monday versus the Charlotte Hornets. It's worth noting that he hasn't actually practiced with his new team since the trade from the Detroit Pistons. That being said, Bey might not get a full workload during his team debut. Although, John Collins (hip) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (hip) are both questionable, so Bey could be forced into a bigger role than expected right away. Fantasy managers will have to check back closer to game time for another update on their status.

Sun Feb 12 202322:40Saddiq Bey Questionable For Hawks Debut On Monday
Atlanta Hawks forward Saddiq Bey (trade pending) is officially questionable to play his first game in a Hawks uniform on Monday. The four-team deal finally became official after some drama surrounding Gary Payton II's injury on Sunday. The 23-year-old has averaged 14.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 steals per game so far this season and he'll look to add another shooting option alongside Trae Young and Dejounte Murray. His fantasy upside won't be as high as it was in Detroit, but he can still deliver threes, rebounds, and steals in 12-to-14-team leagues.

Fri Feb 10 202313:152023 NBA Trade Deadline Breakdown - Fantasy Basketball Impacts
The NBA trade deadline has officially come and gone and we had one of the most active deadlines in recent memory with some big stars being dealt. Kyrie, KD, and Westbrook are all heading to new teams and we have been covering those trades and their fantasy impacts here at RotoBaller. But there were plenty of other lesser-known players who were dealt in the last few days and I wanted to go through and make sure we don't overlook some of these trades as some of those deals may even have more fantasy impact than the big moves. So here are some other trades that went down and my two cents on the increase or decrease in value that we should expect from the players involved for the remainder of the 2022-2023 fantasy basketball season.

Moves That Matter

These are very much in order of how much they matter. Let's start with the Spurs sending their starting center back up North where he started his career.Jakob Poeltl to the RaptorsI am a huge Poeltl fan and was close to acquiring him on multiple teams before the deadline. It was a curious move by Toronto to be buyers instead of sellers at the deadline, but Poeltl gives them the presence at the five they have been lacking all season and allows Siakam to shift over and play PF where he belongs.Poeltl is no longer a shutdown candidate and has legit top-50 upside with his multi-category abilities. His departure also makes ... [More]
Thu Feb 9 202314:34Saddiq Bey Traded To Atlanta
Forward Saddiq Bey was moved to the Atlanta Hawks in a three-team deal on Thursday. Detroit gave him up for James Wiseman and Golden State has received five second-round picks in the trade. Bey has been enjoying a great season in Motown as one of the team's first scoring options, but he will have to take a back seat in Atlanta. The 23-year-old will likely have a tough time breaking into the starting unit as well, although he should still play a significant part in the rotation.

Fri Jan 27 202310:17Saddiq Bey Leads The Pistons To Upset Win Over Nets
Detroit Pistons forward Saddiq Bey cashed in his 12th 20-point game of the season as the team grabbed a 130-122 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday. The Villanova product finished with 25 points, nine rebounds, and three assists while shooting 10-for-19 from the floor and 5-for-8 from three. He had a bit of a rough stretch early on this year but has seemingly started to get back to the level we saw last season. His shooting percentages aren't great, but this is still just his third season and he can be a solid asset in dynasty formats as well as deeper redraft leagues.

Mon Dec 5 202208:43Saddiq Bey Shows Signs Of Life Sunday
Detroit Pistons forward Saddiq Bey was able to play a prominent role in Sunday's 112-122 defeat to Memphis, leading the team with 24 points in 33 minutes off the bench. He also tallied six rebounds and a season-high seven assists, while shooting 7-for-16 from the field and 9-for-12 at the foul line with a 1-for-6 record from deep. Bey hadn't hit 20 points in a game since Nov. 7. In fact, even getting some decent playing time has been an issue for him lately, as he had failed to hit the 20-minute mark in back-to-back games prior to Sunday. The 23-year-old hasn't done as well as fantasy managers would've liked, but the Pistons are a rebuilding team and Bey's best stretch of the season should be yet to come.

Sun Nov 27 202214:47Saddiq Bey Questionable On Sunday
Detroit Pistons forward Saddiq Bey (ankle) is questionable on Sunday versus the Cavs. The 23-year-old has missed the last four games because of a sprained right ankle. With Bojan Bogdanovic (knee, ankle) and Jaden Ivey (knee) questionable, Bey may start if he's available. However, if Bogdanovic and Bey can't suit up, Hamidou Diallo could get the nod and would be worth fantasy consideration in all formats.

Tue Nov 22 202215:34Saddiq Bey Won't Suit Up On Tuesday
Detroit Pistons forward Saddiq Bey (ankle) will be forced to miss his second consecutive game with an ankle sprain. The sharpshooting forward has had a rough go of it over the last five games that he's played. He's failed to score more than 11 points and has only shot 40% or better in one of those games. While he's in street clothes, Isaiah Livers, Marvin Bagley III, and Kevin Knox should all see more playing time. Bagley will likely get the most out of the three. Livers and Knox are only recommended streaming options in deeper leagues.

Sun Nov 20 202215:06Saddiq Bey Upgraded To Questionable
Detroit Pistons forward Saddiq Bey (ankle) has been upgraded to questionable for Sunday's game against the Sacramento Kings. Originally, Bey was considered out, but he has improved enough for the team to consider letting him play. He'll likely want to give it a go because his streak of 152 consecutive games is on the line. Otherwise, Isaiah Livers and Hamidou Diallo could see increased playing time and touches. Between the two, Diallo is the better streaming option, assuming Bey is unable to play.

Sat Nov 19 202223:57Saddiq Bey Out For Sunday's Meeting With Sacramento
Detroit Pistons forward Saddiq Bey (ankle) won't play against the Kings. Bey sprained his right ankle during Friday's meeting with the Lakers, so his next chance to return will occur on Tuesday in Denver. Cade Cunningham (shin) is also out indefinitely, so Bojan Bogdanovic should lead the way offensively. However, Alec Burks, Killian Hayes, and Hamidou Diallo, who combined for 54 points against the Lakers, should see more action.

Sat Nov 19 202208:08Saddiq Bey Exits With Injury Friday
Detroit Pistons forward Saddiq Bey rolled his right ankle and couldn't complete Friday's contest against the Lakers. He was hurt in the fourth quarter and needed help to get to the locker room, so it's not looking good, although Bey hasn't yet been ruled out for Sunday's trip to Sacramento. Bey is one of Detroit's leaders, although he has been slumping lately and didn't have a great night on Friday either, scoring only four points in 21 minutes and picking up three rebounds and two assists. The Pistons already have Cade Cunningham (shin) and Isaiah Stewart (toe) on the shelf, so losing Bey would be a bitter blow. Alec Burks, who led the team with 23 points Friday, should start to see more opportunities off the bench if Bey is forced to spend some time on the sidelines

Detroit Pistons small forward Saddiq Bey shot the lights out in the team's 121-117 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. He went 7-for-9 from three-point range and 11-for-18 from the field overall on the way to a game-high 31 points. He also added four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Plus, he knocked down each of his two free throw attempts. The second-year pro has clearly established himself as the team's second-best piece beside rookie sensation Cade Cunningham. Mon Feb 14 202221:36Saddiq Bey Drops 24 Points Against Wizards
Detroit Pistons small forward Saddiq Bey led all scorers with 24 points in the team's 103-94 loss to the Washington Wizards on Monday. He shot 7-for-17 from the field, including 4-for-10 from three-point range. He was nearly perfect from the free throw strike, going 6-for-7, and he also added five rebounds and five assists without committing any turnovers. The second-year pro is shooting just 38.5% from the field this year, but he's racking up solid counting stats, averaging 15.7 points and 2.5 three-pointers per contest. His next game will be against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.

Mon Dec 27 202113:52Saddiq Bey Goes For 23 Points, Eight Rebounds In Loss Sunday
Detroit Pistons small forward Saddiq Bey logged 23 points and eight rebounds during a 144-109 blowout loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. The Villanova product did most of his damage from the line, shooting 12-for-14 from the stripe, but he shot just 31.3% from the field for his other 11 tallies. The 22-year-old also added an assist and steal across 41 minutes. While Bey has taken on a bigger role in his second season, his poor shooting ratios -- 36.7% from the field and 30.9 from deep -- have hindered a true breakout campaign, although he's improved his per-game averages in rebounding, assists, steals and scoring.

Mon Dec 20 202107:58Saddiq Bey Continues A Hot Stretch
Detroit Pistons forward Saddiq Bey had another very good outing against Miami on Sunday, going for a game-high 26 points on 7-for-13 shooting in a 100-90 win. He hit half of his six attempts from deep and went 9-for-10 at the line while picking up four rebounds and two assists in 36 minutes. Bey is now averaging 25.7 points per game over his last three appearances. He's been logging some very heavy minutes as well lately and it will likely remain so until Jerami Grant (thumb) can make it back on the court, which will take a while.
