Wed Apr 322:22Zeke Nnaji Doubtful Thursday
Denver Nuggets forward/center Zeke Nnaji (thigh) is doubtful for Thursday's matchup against the Clippers. Nnaji has suited up for only two of the last 10 games due to an ongoing issue with tendinitis on his right thigh. Denver only plays Nnaji 9.7 minutes per contest. But his absence opens more bench minutes for players like Peyton Watson, Justin Holiday, DeAndre Jordan, and Julian Strawther. The Nuggets starters will likely play their usual minutes since Nnaji is not a difference-maker in their rotation.

Thu Mar 2820:50Zeke Nnaji Ruled Out Against Minnesota
Denver Nuggets forward/center Zeke Nnaji (thigh) has been ruled out for Friday's game versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. Nnaji will miss his sixth consecutive game thanks to ongoing issues with tendinitis on his right thigh. Denver only plays Nnaji 9.7 minutes per game, but his absence opens more bench minutes. Peyton Watson, Justin Holiday, DeAndre Jordan, and Julian Strawther have a slightly higher chance at contributing more on the fantasy side without Nnaji. The Nuggets starters will likely play their usual minutes, since Nnaji is not a difference maker in their rotation. There is no official timetable on Nnaji's return to action, but he's expected to return before the season ends.

Sun Mar 2423:23Zeke Nnaji Won't Play Wednesday
Denver Nuggets center Zeke Nnaji (thigh) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's game against Memphis. Nnaji is dealing with right adductor tendinosis. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return. The 23-year-old has not played since March 17th and has suited up for 53 games this season. With Nnaji unavailable and starting center Nikola Jokic (back/hip) questionable, veteran center DeAndre Jordan could see some more time on the court.

Thu Mar 2120:57Zeke Nnaji Won't Play Thursday
Denver Nuggets center Zeke Nnaji (back) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday's game against the New York Knicks. The big man will miss his second game in a row due to lower back pain. The absence of Nnaji should open up additional minutes behind starting center Nikola Jokic. Head coach Mike Malone mentioned that DeAndre Jordan could absorb more minutes with Nnaji sidelined. Despite the extra playing time, Jordan isn't a viable streaming option for Thursday's slate.

Wed Mar 2019:08Zeke Nnaji Questionable For Thursday
Denver Nuggets forward/center Zeke Nnaji (back) is questionable for Thursday's tilt against the New York Knicks. He's suffering from lower back pain. The 23-year-old rarely sees over 10 minutes in a game, and he is averaging 3.2 points per contest. Nnaji's absence won't impact the Nuggets in any way, and the 2020 first-round draft pick should not be considered a fantasy option when he returns to the team's lineup.

Tue Mar 1919:53Zeke Nnaji Out Tuesday With Back Pain
Denver Nuggets forward/center Zeke Nnaji (back) won't play on Tuesday against Minnesota. He's bothered by lower back pain, and Denver has downgraded the 23-year-old from questionable to out. As he's only a bit-part player who rarely sees over 10 minutes in a game, Nnaji's absence won't impact the Nuggets in any way. He will get his first chance to return on Thursday when the defending champions meet up with the Knicks on home court.

Tue Mar 1909:59Zeke Nnaji Questionable To Play On Tuesday
Denver Nuggets forward/center Zeke Nnaji (back) is considered questionable for Tuesday's matchup against Minnesota. The young big man is bothered by lower back pain and might have to sit in street clothes after playing in each of the last 16 games. Nnaji has seen action regularly, but he doesn't feature a lot in normal circumstances, averaging only 9.8 minutes across the campaign. DeAndre Jordan should fill his spot in the rotation, although there's also a good chance Nuggets head coach Michael Malone runs smaller lineups because the Timberwolves have been hit badly by injuries in the center department.

Mon Oct 23 202312:42Nuggets, Zeke Nnaji Agree To Contract Extension
Denver Nuggets forward Zeke Nnaji was entering the final year of his rookie contract this season, which was a team option worth $4.3 million. According to Nuggets Reporter Katy Winge, the team agreed on a multi-year contract extension with the 22-year-old power forward on Sunday. The details of the deal haven't emerged just yet, but they now have Nnaji locked in as the backup power forward and center, and he will likely see a bit more time this year after the Nuggets lost some role players in the offseason. He still isn't on the fantasy radar at this moment, but he has a chance to rise in value if he sees more than 15 minutes per contest.

Fri Feb 10 202313:152023 NBA Trade Deadline Breakdown - Fantasy Basketball Impacts
The NBA trade deadline has officially come and gone and we had one of the most active deadlines in recent memory with some big stars being dealt. Kyrie, KD, and Westbrook are all heading to new teams and we have been covering those trades and their fantasy impacts here at RotoBaller. But there were plenty of other lesser-known players who were dealt in the last few days and I wanted to go through and make sure we don't overlook some of these trades as some of those deals may even have more fantasy impact than the big moves. So here are some other trades that went down and my two cents on the increase or decrease in value that we should expect from the players involved for the remainder of the 2022-2023 fantasy basketball season.

Moves That Matter

These are very much in order of how much they matter. Let's start with the Spurs sending their starting center back up North where he started his career.Jakob Poeltl to the RaptorsI am a huge Poeltl fan and was close to acquiring him on multiple teams before the deadline. It was a curious move by Toronto to be buyers instead of sellers at the deadline, but Poeltl gives them the presence at the five they have been lacking all season and allows Siakam to shift over and play PF where he belongs.Poeltl is no longer a shutdown candidate and has legit top-50 upside with his multi-category abilities. His departure also makes ... [More]
Thu Nov 3 202221:49Zeke Nnaji Questionable To Return
Denver Nuggets center Zeke Nnaji (ankle) is considered questionable to return for Thursday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. It's a shame because Nnaji was playing well before suffering an ankle sprain. The 21-year-old snagged five rebounds in only five minutes of action. Jeff Green and DeAndre Jordan will see increased playing time off the bench, assuming Nnaji doesn't return to this game.

Mon Oct 3 202221:35Dalano Banton Expected To Remain On The Roster
Toronto Raptors guard Dalano Banton is expected to have his contract guaranteed and remain on the roster heading into the regular season. The 22-year-old appeared in 64 games for the Raptors last season, averaging 3.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 10.9 minutes per contest. Banton scored nine points and grabbed two steals in Sunday's preseason win over the Utah Jazz and has impressed the coaching staff throughout training camp. As a result, Banton may be a fixture in Toronto's rotation in 2022-23 and could eventually see more work than Malachi Flynn, who is forecasted to serve as Fred VanVleet's backup. With that said, Banton shouldn't draw much interest from redraft managers, although he's someone to watch throughout the year.

Mon Oct 3 202220:39Zeke Nnaji Has Option Picked Up By Denver
Denver Nuggets forward/center Zeke Nnaji had his fourth-year option picked up on Monday. The No. 22 overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft has played 83 games for the Nuggets in his first two years in the league. During that span, he's averaged 4.9 points and 2.6 rebounds while shooting an impressive 43.9% from downtown. Nnaji isn't a lock to see regular minutes in 2022-23. However, the 21-year-old could insert himself into the rotation as the season progresses. Although that won't do much for redraft participants heading into the year, dynasty managers should continue to hang on to him.

Tue Mar 22 202221:46Zeke Nnaji Could Miss Remainder Of 2021-22 Season
Denver Nuggets power forward Zeke Nnaji (knee) may run out of time to return to the court this season as he battles bilateral knee soreness. Nnaji has appeared just once Feb. 11 and recorded a career-high four steals before returning to the sidelines. With Nnaji down, DeMarcus Cousins and JaMychal Green have held down second unit frontcourt duties. Nnaji appeared in 40 games (one start) this year and averaged 6.6 points and 3.6 boards during his second professional season. He may factor into the Nuggets' mix more significantly next year, but he can remain on the waiver wire for the remainder of 2021-22.

Wed Mar 16 202218:50JaMychal Green In, Zeke Nnaji Out On Wednesday
The Denver Nuggets will have forward JaMychal Green (wrist) in their rotation for Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards. Fellow forward Zeke Nnaji (knee), meanwhile, will be out for the game. Green logged 23 minutes in the team's last game on Monday. He scored 10 points and grabbed eight boards. Nnaji has only appeared in one game over the past month, but it sounds as if he's trending toward a return. He had been listed as questionable for Wednesday's game until about an hour before tip-off.

Wed Mar 16 202209:18Zeke Nnaji Questionable On Wednesday
Denver Nuggets power forward Zeke Nnaji (knee) is listed as questionable ahead of Wednesday night's tilt against the Washington Wizards. The 21-year-old is dealing with knee soreness. The injury has forced him to miss each of the team's last three games, but it sounds as if he's getting close to a return. Nnaji has seen some decent minutes in his second year in the NBA. He's averaged 16.8 minutes per game while compiling 6.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 0.9 three-pointers per game. If he remains out on Wednesday, Jeff Green, DeMarcus Cousins and JaMychal Green (wrist) will continue to soak up his minutes. JaMychal Green, who is dealing with a right wrist sprain, is currently probable for the game.

Thu Mar 10 202221:39Zeke Nnaji Won't Play Thursday
Denver Nuggets center Zeke Nnaji (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Golden State Warriors. He was able to play 20 minutes off the bench on Wednesday, but won't be able to give it a go here. He continues to deal with knee soreness, so the Nuggets have decided to give him the night off. Jeff Green (personal) is back in the rotation, while JaMychal Green should get into the rotation. Both have some low-end appeal, but neither should be counted on as trustworthy fantasy options.

Thu Mar 10 202215:09Jeff Green, Zeke Nnaji Questionable For Thursday
Denver Nuggets forward Jeff Green (personal) and center Zeke Nnaji (knee) are listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Golden State Warriors. The Nuggets could be short-handed here with Bones Hyland (knee) and Will Barton (ankle) questionable as well. Nnaji filled in for Green on Wednesday and played 20 minutes in that contest. However, Nnaji has been dealing with knee soreness, so the Nuggets could rest him on Thursday. JaMychal Green and DeMarcus Cousins could be busier than normal on Thursday. They might have low-end streaming appeal, but that depends on the status of these players.

Mon Feb 14 202220:20Monte Morris, Zeke Nnaji Ruled Out For Monday’s Game
Denver Nuggets point guard Monte Morris (concussion) and power forward Zeke Nnaji (hamstring) have been deemed unavailable to suit up for Monday's contest against the Magic. Morris is missing his third consecutive outing, which paves the way for Bones Hyland to remain among the starting five. Despite getting starting PG duties, Hyland doesn't boast the highest elevated assists appeal for Denver -- that belongs to Nikola Jokic, who has led the team in dimes in 15 of its last 16 games. Nnaji's absence means that DeMarcus Cousins is set to log minutes off the bench once again, but he remains a difficult DFS asset due to his capped playing time total.

Sat Dec 4 202116:21Zeke Nnaji Scores Career-High 21 Points
Denver Nuggets power forward Zeke Nnaji had a very good performance in Saturday's win over the Knicks, shooting 7-for-13 from the field and 5-for-9 from outside en route to a career-high 21 points. He pulled down eight rebounds and picked up a couple of steals as well in 34 minutes off the bench. Nnaji generally doesn't see a lot of playing time, but he was rolling here and the Knicks couldn't keep the game competitive. It was a nice performance from the second-year player, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect Nnaji to repeat in anytime soon.

Wed Nov 17 202121:28Zeke Nnaji Will Miss Second Straight Game Thursday
Denver Nuggets power forward/center Zeke Nnaji (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against Philadelphia due to a sprained right ankle. The 20-year-old has only recently entered the rotation, getting a chance to showcase his potential in two games this season that have seen him play 18 minutes or more. Even when healthy, the Nuggets are unlikely to hand Nnaji a playing time total that would allow him to produce at a season-long fantasy relevant level. His absence could funnel a handful of additional minutes toward veterans Jeff Green and JaMychal Green.
