Mon Apr 118:17Aleksej Pokusevski Back For Hornets On Monday
Charlotte Hornets forward/center Aleksej Pokusevski (illness) has been cleared to play on Monday versus the Celtics. He's recovered from an illness that kept Pokusevski on the shelf Sunday against the Clippers. The lanky Serbian has seen a boost in playing time lately and could get even more extra shifts on Monday due to Nick Richards' (foot) absence. He has averaged 6.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in 19.4 minutes across 10 games since moving to Charlotte.

Fri Feb 2310:49Aleksej Pokusevski Waived By Thunder
Oklahoma City Thunder center Aleksej Pokusevski is reportedly getting waived on Friday, according to Shams Charania. After being drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the 17th overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft, he was promptly traded to the Thunder, where he spent his first three seasons. During his time in Oklahoma City, Pokusevski averaged 7.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.6 turnovers per game while shooting just 38.7% from the floor. The 22-year-old only appeared in 10 games for the Thunder this season and fell out of the lineup once Chet Holmgren stepped into the starting lineup. Pokusevski could latch on with a rebuilding team and get some more opportunities to develop.

Wed Oct 25 202309:15Aleksej Pokusevski Good To Go Wednesday
Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Aleksej Pokusevski (ankle) has been removed from the injury report, which signals that he's available for Wednesday's season opener against Chicago. The 21-year-old was considered a major doubt for the start of the season after he sprained his right ankle last month during a workout, but he recovered quicker than expected and is ready to roll. Pokusevski missed most of last season with a fractured tibia and must be eager to make up for lost time. He should get a decent role in the rotation straight away, with Kenrich Williams (back) and Jaylin Williams (hamstring) missing for OKC.

Wed Oct 18 202318:18Aleksej Pokusevski Making Strides In Recovery
Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault said on Wednesday that forward/center Aleksej Pokusevski's (ankle) rehab is "accelerating better than we thought." It implies Pokusevski is advancing faster than anticipated from a right-ankle sprain he suffered during a September workout, which was originally expected to keep him out for six weeks. The 21-year-old had a tough-luck summer to say the least, after Poku had to miss the FIBA World Cup with a small humerus fracture in his right arm. The 2020 first-rounder has been a tantalizing prospect for a few years now, but the shine has significantly worn off with Chet Holmgren now back in the fold. Poku at least has a chance to carve out a bench role with Jaylin Williams (hamstring) out for a few weeks, but he still may not be ready in time for the Oct. 25 opener.

Wed Sep 20 202319:45Aleksej Pokusevski To Miss Next Six Weeks
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Aleksej Pokusevski (ankle) will be re-evaluated in six weeks after suffering an injury during a workout on Tuesday. This is a tough break for the 21-year-old after he missed the FIBA World Cup due to an arm injury. It seems unlikely that Pokusevski will be contributing by the beginning of the season. The former first round pick has only played in more than 45 games in a single season once through his first three years in the league. This season could go a long way to determining his role in OKC going forward. Pokusevski does have fantasy value, assuming he's able to carve out a significant role in the rotation.

Fri Aug 11 202300:21Aleksej Pokusevski Nearing A Return
Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Aleksej Pokusevski (leg) is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season. Pokusevski appeared in 34 games in 2022-23, starting 25. While he had a few impressive showings, he sustained a non-displaced tibial plateau fracture in his left leg, forcing him to miss a large chunk of the year. Unfortunately, injuries have been a common theme for the 2020 No. 17 overall pick, and his development has suffered as a result. Despite that, Pokusevski has demonstrated he can be a productive player. However, he may have a tough time breaking into the Thunder's rotation during the 2023-24 campaign, considering Chet Holmgren, Ousmane Dieng, Jaylin Williams, and Jalen Williams, among others, will battle for minutes at the four and five spots.

Fri Jul 28 202321:39Aleksej Pokusevski Not Participating In World Cup
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Aleksej Pokusevski (arm) will not play in the FIBA World Cup this summer. The 21-year-old Serbian suffered a small right humerus fracture amid an offseason workout earlier this summer. Pokusevski was initially set in early June for evaluation after four to six weeks, but he hasn't been medically cleared for action until August. The tantalizingly-talented former first-rounder should be ready for late-September training camp in OKC as a potential 2023-2024 breakout candidate.

Tue Jun 13 202318:58Aleksej Pokusevski Expected Back At The End Of June
Oklahoma City Thunder center Aleksej Pokusevski (arm) suffered a right-humerus fracture earlier in the month but is expected to be healthy enough by the end of June to join the Serbian National team. Head coach Svetislav Pesic said that Pokusevski is currently rehabbing and that "he is under a question mark, the agreement is to see him soon." Pokusevski had his fair share of injury issues this past season, as he was only able to play 34 games, but the fact that he's expected to play in the FIBA World Cup should be good news for the start of the next NBA season.

Fri Jun 2 202312:35Aleksej Pokusevski Suffers Right Humerus Fracture
Oklahoma City Thunder center Aleksej Pokusevski suffered a right humerus fracture during an off-season workout on Thursday and will be re-evaluated in four-to-six weeks. The 21-year-old missed most of this past season with injury issues as he was only able to play in a total of 34 games. This injury doesn't seem to affect his chances of playing at the beginning of the season, but it does jeopardize his off-season. His attention could be switched from improving to rehabbing while he'll be behind Chet Holmgren, who returns next year.

Thu Apr 13 202318:34Aleksej Pokusevski To Remain Out On Friday
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Aleksej Pokusevski (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 21-year-old will miss another game as he continues to deal with a left knee contusion. His absence led to Jalen Williams playing 40 minutes during Wednesday's play-in matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans. The assumption is that Williams is going to play heavy minutes once again on Friday. If OKC wins, they will face the No. 1 seed Denver Nuggets in the first round.

Wed Apr 12 202310:08Aleksej Pokusevski Will Not Suit Up In Play-In Game
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Aleksej Pokusevski (knee) was out from Dec. 27 to March 28, he played three games, and then has been out again since. The third-year big man is unlikely to suit up for any of their play-in games, as he still hasn't been fully healthy after the lengthy absence. He's still dealing with a knee contusion right now, so he'll only seem to be relevant when next season rolls around. Dynasty managers may want to look into getting an upgrade, however, as Chet Holmgren would also be returning to take away more of Pokusevski's opportunities.

Wed Dec 28 202221:12Aleksej Pokusevski To Miss Significant Time
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Aleksej Pokusevski (leg) is set to miss significant time after suffering an injury during Tuesday's game. The young forward sustained a non-displaced tibial plateau fracture in his left leg. The team plans to re-evaluate Pokusevski in six-to-eight weeks. This is a tough blow to fantasy managers as Pokusevski probably won't return until closer to the fantasy playoffs. Mike Muscala and Darius Bazley are set to have increased roles with Pokusevski on the sideline. It'll be interesting to see how head coach Mark Daigneault changes his rotation in the absence of Pokusevski.

Wed Nov 23 202218:30Aleksej Pokusevski Playing On Wednesday
Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Aleksej Pokusevski (ankle) will suit up for Wednesday's meeting with Denver. The 20-year-old didn't play against the Knicks on Monday because of a sprained left ankle, but it appears as if the injury isn't as bad as initially believed. Pokusevski has averaged 9.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks this season, so the upside if there for those looking to take a risk.

Fri Nov 18 202223:52Aleksej Pokusevski Injured On Friday Night
Oklahoma City Thunder center Aleksej Pokusevski (ankle) injured his left ankle during Friday's loss to Memphis. The 20-year-old was having a fantastic night before his premature exit, scoring 10 points and blocking three shots in only 14 minutes of action. Pokusevski has played well this season, averaging 9.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in 13 games, so fantasy managers are hoping he doesn't miss time. However, if he does, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, who had 14 points and seven boards, should receive extra work moving ahead.

Wed Nov 9 202219:01Aleksej Pokusevski Is Available On Wednesday
Oklahoma City Thunder center Aleksej Pokusevski has been upgraded to available on Wednesday night to take on the Milwaukee Bucks. He missed the last two games due to shoulder bursitis in his shooting arm. Now, with him back in the starting lineup, Darius Bazley and Mike Muscala will lose some minutes and opportunities. Pokusevski is only someone that should be rostered in dynasty leagues or deeper leagues anyway. The seven-footer is only putting up 7.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per contest.

Tue Nov 8 202221:46Aleksej Pokusevski Questionable Against Bucks
Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Aleksej Pokusevski (shoulder) is listed as questionable to play Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks. Pokusevski has missed the past two games with shoulder bursitis in his shooting hand. The good news is both of those games, Pokusevski was ruled out a day in advance. The questionable tag indicates Pokusevski is making some progress in his return to the court. If Pokusevski is still unable to go, the Thunder will likely use a mix of Jalen Williams, Darius Bazley, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Kenrich Williams to fill the void.

Sat Oct 15 202222:28OKC Exercises Option For Aleksej Pokusevski
Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Aleksej Pokusevski had his fourth-year option picked up by the team on Saturday. Pokusevski, a first-round pick in 2020, has averaged 7.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in the last two seasons. He's still a work in progress, especially on the shooting end from deep, so fantasy managers won't receive routine production from him. However, after Chet Holmgren (foot) was lost for the year, Pokusevski's path to the starting lineup may have opened, giving him some upside in deeper formats.

Fri Jul 8 202211:45Aleksej Pokusevski Notches Team-High 14 Points
Oklahoma City Thunder power forward Aleksej Pokusevski notched a solid outing in defeat to the 76ers during Summer League play Thursday. Still just 20 years old, Pokusevski showcased his entire skill set en route to logging a team-best 14 points, to go along with five rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Having shot just 28.5% from behind the arc in his first two pro seasons, it was a positive to see the seven-footer knock down 2-for-3 from distance. Shooting percentages continue to complicate Pokusevski's season-long viability, but he should be a key second unit contributor for OKC from the get-go as he continues to expand his game.

Wed Jul 6 202201:41Aleksej Pokusevski Struggles With Shooting In Win
Oklahoma City Thunder center Aleksej Pokusevski finished with 11 points across 21 minutes during the Summer League win over Utah on Tuesday. With Chet Holmgren shining in this one, it was a different story for Pokusevski, who struggled by going 3-for-10 from the field and 1-for-5 from deep. The 20-year-old, who averaged 7.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 2021-22, is expected to have a larger role this season. His shooting numbers could improve. However, he's someone managers can take a chance on later during fantasy drafts heading into October.

Sun Apr 3 202218:38Aleksej Pokusevski, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl In On Sunday
Oklahoma City Thunder forwards Aleksej Pokusevski (illness) and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (foot) will both be suiting up for Sunday's game against the Phoenix Suns. As strange as it is, this development has some major fantasy implications, primarily with Poku being made active. Pokusevski saw 29.1 minutes per game in March and averaged 12.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while attempting 11.0 field goals per game. He's a must-start player as long as you can roll the dice with field goal percentage. He's shooting 40.5% from the field on the year. Jaylen Hoard and Lindy Waters III were both great producers with Poku out on Friday, but they each take a hit with Poku being active. Waters is still a potential start if you're in a pinch, but Hoard should be avoided.
