They've also reassigned LHPs Chris Dwyer, John Lamb and Will Smith and RHP Steve Shell to minor league camp. Pucetas, who was acquired in the Jose Guillen deal last season, and Teaford both pitched horribly this spring but will offer some depth in the minors.

Royals acquired RHP Kevin Pucetas from the Giants as the player to be named later in August's deal for Jose Guillen.
Pucetas, 25, was named the minor leagues' Pitcher of the Year back in 2007 when he posted a 1.86 ERA and 1.00 WHIP over 145-plus innings at Single-A Augusta. He has posted ERAs of 5.04 and 5.69 over the last two seasons, however, and still faces an uphill climb toward the major leagues.
