Fri Nov 17 202316:07Joshua Primo, Clippers Agree To Two-Year Deal
Los Angeles Clippers guard Joshua Primo was originally brought in on an unguaranteed deal, but they've now signed him to a two-year deal worth $3.96 million, which is fully guaranteed for the rest of this season and includes $1 million for next season. Primo last played in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs last year and he appeared in the first four games while averaging 7.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.5 assists across 23.3 minutes per game. He was released by the Spurs because he exposed himself to women, so he will have to sit out for a four-game suspension before he's able to play.

Fri Oct 28 202219:49Spurs Waive Joshua Primo
The Spurs waived guard Joshua Primo on Friday night. The 19-year-old was selected with the No. 12 pick of the 2021 NBA Draft and averaged 5.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 54 games. He also shot just 37.2% from the field and an even worse 30.2% from deep. The Spurs recently picked up his third-year team option, so the timing is somewhat surprising. However, Primo should find work soon, assuming there's nothing else behind the recent update.

Thu Oct 27 202222:03Devin Vassell And Joshua Primo Ruled Out Friday
San Antonio Spurs guards Devin Vassell (knee) and Joshua Primo (glute) are listed as out Friday against the Chicago Bulls. Both Vassell and Primo will miss their second consecutive games with their respective ailments and should be considered questionable moving forward. Josh Richardson will likely see another start and is worth a look in both DFS and season long leagues. In his last start, Richardson posted a full lines of 11 points, 10 assists, three rebounds, two steals, two threes and a block in 33 minutes.

Sun Jul 10 202222:24Joshua Primo Has A Night To Forget On Sunday
San Antonio Spurs guard Joshua Primo had 10 points during the loss to Golden State on Sunday. He struggled shooting the ball by going 2-for-15 from the field and 1-for-5 from behind the arc. He did add five boards, four assists, and a block, but overall, it wasn't his best effort. The 19-year-old played relatively well throughout his rookie campaign in 2021-22. However, Primo needs to step things up and be a consistent producer, especially since he is anticipated to receive plenty of minutes moving ahead due to the team dealing superstar Dejounte Murray to the Hawks.

Sat Jul 9 202200:08Joshua Primo Leads The Way Against Cleveland
San Antonio Spurs guard Joshua Primo tied for a game-high 20 points against Cleveland during Summer League play on Friday. The 19-year-old had a spectacular shooting night, going 7-for-12 from the field and 5-for-7 from downtown. He also added five assists and a block, although his efforts weren't good enough to lead the rebuilding Spurs to a win. Primo, who averaged 8.6 points, 2.4 assists, and 2.2 boards throughout 16 starts last season, is in line to start in 2022-23. He probably won't be an everyday fantasy producer. But with Dejounte Murray now in Atlanta, anyone has the potential to step up on the offensive end. Additionally, if he continues to improve from deep, category managers may feel a bit more confident adding him to the roster.

Fri Mar 11 202211:13Joshua Primo, Keita Bates-Diop Unlikely To Play Friday
San Antonio Spurs shooting guard Joshua Primo (illness) and power forward Keita Bates-Diop (back) have been listed as doubtful to play in Friday's game vs. Utah. Primo has already been sidelined for one outing due to the illness, with Tre Jones and Josh Richardson absorbing his minutes. Bates-Diop is on track to miss a third straight contest, with Zach Collins and Joe Wieskamp moving up the depth chart in his place. Primo, the 12th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, has shown flashes of being an exciting fantasy asset in the years to come despite averaging just 5.0 PPG. The next best shot that either he or Bates-Diop will have at returning to action comes Saturday against the Pacers.

Wed Mar 9 202220:17Joshua Primo Out With An Illness On Wednesday
San Antonio Spurs rookie guard Joshua Primo (illness) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Toronto Raptors due to a non-COVID illness. Primo has been playing about 20 minutes per game off the bench lately while the Spurs have been missing some other guards. Unfortunately, he hasn't been producing much from a statistical standpoint. He's reached double-digits in scoring just once over his last eight outings. The Spurs are welcoming guards Devin Vassell (groin) and Lonnie Walker IV (illness) back to the rotation on Wednesday. Both players are ahead of Primo on the depth chart and Josh Richardson is firmly ahead of Primo as well, making the rookie not worthy of rostering in any fantasy leagues.

Thu Feb 24 202221:34Joshua Primo Listed As Questionable For Friday
San Antonio Spurs guard Joshua Primo (wrist) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Washington Wizards. Primo is one of the many young guards on this roster that should have increased opportunities in the second half. However, his absence would mean more playing time for Lonnie Walker IV and Josh Richardson. Neither of them are trustworthy streaming options as Devin Vassell is the much better fantasy player. Fantasy managers should check and see if Vassell is available on the waiver wire. He should play a bigger role on the Spurs in the second half.
