Thu Mar 2119:26Sam Hauser Expected To Return On Friday
Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser (ankle) is probable for Friday's game in Detroit. He amassed a career-high 30 points in Sunday's blowout win over the Washington Wizards. Unfortunately, he sprained his ankle during the contest, ending his day after logging only 23 minutes. As a result, the 26-year-old sat out the C's previous two games. But the Celtics may get him back on a night when Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring), Al Horford (toe), Jayson Tatum (ankle), and Jaylen Brown (ankle) may not play. On top of that, Jrue Holiday (shoulder) has already been ruled out. With this in mind, Hauser could be in line for another big game, assuming he enters the starting lineup.

Wed Mar 2018:23Sam Hauser To Remain Out On Wednesday
Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser (ankle) will miss a second consecutive game on Wednesday against Milwaukee. The 26-year-old has landed on the shelf with a left ankle sprain, although Hauser was initially regarded as questionable for Wednesday, meaning he shouldn't be out for long. Hauser has massively benefited from Boston giving its big guns some time off recently, but Jaylen Brown (ankle) and Jayson Tatum (ankle) are both available on Wednesday, so normal service should resume in the Celtics attack.

Tue Mar 1923:00Sam Hauser Questionable Versus Milwaukee
Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup with the Bucks. He scored a career-high 30 points in Saturday's win over the Washington Wizards. Unfortunately, he sprained his ankle during the contest and was ruled out after logging just 23 minutes. As a result, the 26-year-old wasn't available on Sunday versus Detroit. The Celtics also have Jaylen Brown (ankle) and Jrue Holiday (shoulder) on their injury report, so Hauser could be in line for more scoring opportunities against the Bucks. But if Hauser, Brown, or Holiday don't play, Payton Pritchard, fresh off a 23-point performance, would become a viable streaming option.

Mon Mar 1815:59Jayson Tatum Iffy, Sam Hauser Out Monday
Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (ankle) is questionable for Monday's tilt versus the Detroit Pistons, while Sam Hauser (ankle) is out. The durable Tatum is nursing a right ankle impingement on the second half of Boston's back-to-back after the team beat the Washington Wizards 130-104 on Sunday, threatening his status against the lowly Pistons. It's worth noting Tatum played only 27 minutes in that one, so he should have a decent chance of suiting up on Monday. After the red-hot Hauser sprained his left ankle on Sunday, he'll hope to return for Wednesday's battle with the Milwaukee Bucks. A huge boost in usage would be in store for Jaylen Brown (ankle) if he is active and Tatum is not. Across three games without Tatum this season, Brown averaged 33.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 2.6 threes and could erupt against a Pistons clubs giving up the fifth-most points per game (120.1).

Sun Mar 1722:29Sam Hauser Undergoes X-rays On Sunday
Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser (ankle) had a stellar game in Sunday's win over the Washington Wizards. The C's were down Jaylen Brown (ankle), Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring), and Derrick White (hand). As a result, the door was open for others to get more involved. While Jayson Tatum stuffed the stat sheet, as expected, Hauser amassed a career-high 30 points, shooting an efficient 10-for-13 from behind the arc. Unfortunately, his afternoon ended after just 23 minutes because of a sprained left ankle. Head coach Joe Mazzulla reported Hauser underwent X-rays. However, the team is still awaiting the results. But even if imaging comes back clean, fantasy managers likely won't see Hauser on the floor when Boston meets Detroit on Monday. That said, it's hard to tell who will benefit until the club releases an updated injury report heading into Monday evening.

Sun Mar 1717:49Sam Hauser, Oshae Brissett Join Boston's Starting Unit
Boston Celtics forwards Sam Hauser and Oshae Brissett will join the starting lineup on Sunday against Washington. The two get a promotion to the first unit following injuries to Derrick White (hand) and Jaylen Brown (ankle). Brissett is starting for the first time this season, while Hauser will be rolling with starters for an eighth time in 2023-24. He's averaged 9.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in the role. The rest of the Boston bench could also get extended action in the game, as Washington sends out a short-handed squad that will likely struggle to keep pace with the Celtics.

Tue Jan 923:34Sam Hauser Off The Injury Report
Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser (shoulder) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Wednesday's matchup versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 26-year-old didn't play on Monday against the Indiana Pacers because of an impingement in his right shoulder. However, it only cost him a game, so his absence was likely more for precautionary measures. Hauser is a vital component in the C's rotation this season. But he's averaging only 8.5 points and 3.6 rebounds, meaning his availability won't mean much for fantasy managers, especially with Jayson Tatum (ankle) also removed from the injury report.

Sun Jan 718:38Sam Hauser Uncertain To Play Against Pacers
Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser (shoulder) has been deemed questionable while he deals with an impingement in his right shoulder. What makes his status even more important to the Celtics is that Jayson Tatum (ankle) is also listed as questionable. So, if Tatum doesn't play, Hauser would move into the starting lineup if the shoulder impingement isn't too severe. The last time Hauser received a spot start, he posted nine points, nine rebounds, one assist, and one block. If Hauser has to watch from the sidelines though, Oshae Brissett and possibly Lamar Stevens could see extra minutes. Brissett would likely get some extra opportunities if Hauser plays and Tatum doesn't as well. Both Brissett and Stevens would be risky streaming options for those fantasy managers who are looking for backup plans.

Wed Dec 20 202320:48Sam Hauser To Start On Wednesday
Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser will move into the starting five ahead of Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings. The Celtics will be without Jayson Tatum (ankle) for Wednesday's game, but hopefully it won't be a long term absence. Tatum hurt his ankle during Tuesday's game, so most likely the Celtics are just playing it safe in this back-to-back contest. Hauser should have an expanded role, but is normally only useful for three-pointers. There's some streaming value here, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect a ton from Hauser.

Mon Aug 29 202221:06Sam Hauser Could Get More Playing Time
Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser may receive more playing time to start the season. Danilo Gallinari (knee) tore his meniscus during a FIBA World Cup qualifier, so the door could be open for Hauser to benefit. He agreed to a three-year, $6 million contract in the offseason after averaging 2.5 points and 1.1 rebounds while shooting an impressive 43.2% from deep in 2021-22. Although adding the 24-year-old could be beneficial in deeper fantasy formats initially, he will likely spend most of his minutes on the bench once Gallinari returns.

Sun Jul 3 202220:36Sam Hauser Returning To Boston
Free-agent forward Sam Hauser has agreed to a three-year, $6 million deal to return to Boston. The 24-year-old averaged only 2.5 points and 1.1 rebounds throughout 26 games with the Celtics last season. However, he shined from deep, draining 43.2% of his attempts. While Hauser has a long way to go before he's relevant on the fantasy end, he may earn a consistent spot in the rotation, which could increase his value moving ahead.
