Orioles purchased the contract of INF-OF Blake Davis from Triple-A Norfolk.
Davis, a 2006 fourth-round pick, was batting .284/.320/.399 with five homers and 24 RBI over his first 49 games with the Tides this season. Most of his experience is as a shortstop, but he has primarily played right field this season. He isn't much of a prospect at the age of 27, but could hang on as a utility-type.
