Sun Oct 3 201016:14Lindsey to have surgery Wednesday
Dodgers' 33-year-old rookie John Lindsey will have hand surgery on Wednesday.
This is a little bit of a reversal after it seemed he wouldn't need surgery, but Lindsey did break a bone in his hand when he wa hit by a pitch Saturday and it's best that he gets healthy. It's always a fun story when a minor league journeyman finally makes it to the major leagues, but those kinds of players don't make for great fantasy stars.

Thu Sep 9 201009:13Lindsey to make first MLB start Saturday
Dodgers manager Joe Torre said that John Lindsey will start at first base on Saturday.
It will be the 33-year-old's first start in the big leagues. And a well-deserved one, at that. Lindsey was announced as a pinch-hitter in last night's game against the Padres, but was switched out for Andre Ethier once Luke Gregerson relieved Joe Thatcher. He's waited long enough for his first major league at-bat, so a couple more days probably won't hurt.
