Ynoa was hitting .266 in 94 games at Albuquerque with 24 doubles, two homers, 27 RBIs and 49 runs. Ynoa appeared in 72 games for the Rockies last season and hit .260 with eight doubles, nine RBIs and 14 runs.

The Rockies utility man has not seen much playing time this season, but he's a clubhouse favorite. The Rockies broadcast always raves about his work ethic and his versatility and that alone might garner him a spot on the opening day roster next season. The tough oart is that with a .268 OBP and no power to speak of, it's hard to see much upside with Ynoa.

Ynoa will rejoin the Rockies after splitting his season between Triple-A Albuquerque and the big league club. He won't play Friday, but it's possible he'll see some starts down the stretch if the Rockies decide to rest the starters a fair amount.

Ynoa has struggled mightily at the plate recently, and has now lost his 25-man roster spot to Drew Stubbs as a result. He will play at Triple-A Albuquerque for the first time this season, but will likely be one of the top options to rejoin the team should an injury occur.

Ynoa played in left field Sunday and went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and a stolen base in a 10-4 victory over the Brewers.

Sunday's start was just Ynoa's third of June but he made the most of the opportunity, getting on base three times. The 27-year-old also recorded his first stolen base in the majors as part of a double steal attempt against Matt Garza in the fourth inning. After an impressive, albeit limited, stint with the Rockies last year, Ynoa has been stifled by the success of DJ LeMathieu, struggling to find anything more than pinch-hit at-bats.

Ynoa went 2-for-5 and scored a pair of runs in Sunday's triumph over the Giants.

Ynoa was inserted into the No. 2 spot in the lineup while seeing a rare start in left field. The 27-year-old is batting .311 over 45 at-bats on the season, but the Rockies appear content to use him mostly as a versatile bench bat rather than as an everyday player.

Two days after being sent to Triple-A, an injury to Justin Morneau will bring him back to the majors for at least a little while. In his stint with the Rockies to begin the season, the 27-year-old utility player went 7-for-29 over 19 games.

Ynoa was sent back to the minors in a move that brought two arms back to the Rockies. He's played in 19 games thus far for the Rockies, collecting seven hits in 29 at-bats. He'll join the Triple-A club for the first time this season, but remains near the top of the pecking order to rejoin the club should an injury occur.

Ynoa made his first start of the season in Monday's loss against the Padres, going 1-for-4 with an RBI.

Ynoa was a late entry into the Rockies' lineup after third baseman Nolan Arenado was scratched with wrist soreness. Though Ynoa boasts the ability to play both second and third base, the presence of DJ LeMahieu and Arenado -- who were both National League Gold Glove winners last season at those respective positions -- will limit his chances of picking up work even as a late-inning replacement. It doesn't sound like Arenado's injury is going to cost him more than a game or two, so expect Ynoa to resume collecting dust on the bench again in short order.

Ynoa was an early standout in camp, posting a .300 batting average over 60 at-bats. He and Daniel Descalso will both serve as reserve middle infielders to open the season. Despite making the roster, it seems likely he'll see limited playing time.

The Rockies' offseason acquisition of utility infielder Daniel Descalso probably still makes Ynoa a safer bet to open the season at Triple-A Albuquerque, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that the team keeps him as an extra bench bat if he continues to excel in spring training. Filling in for Nolan Arenado over the final couple weeks of last season, Ynoa parlayed impressive contact skills into a .343 batting average over 71 plate appearances, although it was propped up significantly by a .397 BABIP.

Ynoa went 1-for-4 with three RBI in Sunday's loss to the Dodgers.

Filling in at third base the last two weeks after Nolan Arenado (illness) was shut down for the season, Ynoa showcased some solid contact skills, finishing with a .343 batting average over his 67 at-bats with the Rockies. While the 26-year-old probably doesn't have a realistic chance of winning a starting job in 2015, he could develop into a useful utility infielder for the Rockies.

Ynoa went 2-for-4 with three RBI in the Rockies' 8-3 win over the Diamondbacks' on Sunday.

Ynoa has made the most of his time in September with the Rockies. He's batting .400 (16-for-40) this month, and has seven hits in his last three games.

Ynoa tripled and doubled twice on Friday against the Diamondbacks, as he went 4-for-5 with three RBI.

The bats came alive at Coors Field on Friday as Ynoa contributed mightily to the Rockies 15-run night. Ynoa now has seven hits in his last 10 at-bats, while bumping up his season batting average to .417 as he fills in for regular Nolan Arenado.
