Meloan spent last season between the independent Long Island Ducks and the Yankees' Double- and Triple-A affiliates. The 28-year-old right-hander hasn't pitched in the big leagues since 2009 and will likely serve as minor league bullpen depth. |

Yankees signed RHP Jon Meloan to a minor league contract. |
The Yankees signed him away from the the Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League. The 27-year-old right-hander hasn't pitched in the big leagues since 2009 as a member of the Athletics and will serve as organizational depth with Double-A Trenton. |
