(AP) — Outfielder Alejandro De Aza has agreed to a minor league contract to return to the Washington Nationals.De Aza was a free agent and led off an exhibition game last week for a team of available big league players against Japanese amateurs in Bradenton.He spent time last season with Washington's Triple-A Syracuse affiliate and was called up to the majors in August when outfielder Brian Goodwin went on the disabled list. CF Alejandro De Aza was hit by a pitch on the right hand leading off the ninth inning Sunday. He was taken for X-rays but results were not immediately known. "No," manager Terry Collins said, "I'm not worried. At the end he was really squeezing (his hand). It isn't too swelled up, I'm not overly concerned just yet."

He isn't very appealing to those in mixed leagues, but for deeper leagues De Aza could be a useful outfielder down the stretch who won't break the bank.

De Aza is out of the lineup Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

Giants manager Bruce Bochy will give Juan Perez a spin in left field with lefty Patrick Corbin on the mound for Arizona. De Aza is hitting only .143 against southpaws this season.
