Mets sent RHP Manuel Alvarez outright to Triple-A Buffalo.

The move was made in order to clear a spot on the 40-man roster. Alvarez posted an 8.10 ERA over 10 innings between Double- and Triple-A this season, missing a good chunk of the year with a knee injury. The 25-year-old projects merely as a solid middle reliever if he reaches his ceiling.
