The Houston Astros will return home to begin their three-game interleague series against the New York Mets on Saturday, the team announced Wednesday.The series had been slated to begin on Friday, but the clubs will play a split doubleheader on Saturday at Minute Maid Park before wrapping up the set on Sunday.The Astros will return to Houston on Thursday after their game against the Texas Rangers at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. The Astros had to relocate their series against their Lone Star State rivals this week because of catastrophic flooding in the area from Hurricane Harvey.--The Seattle Mariners acquired right-handed pitcher Mike Leake from the St. Louis Cardinals as they contend for an American League wild-card spot. The Cardinals get minor league shortstop Rayder Ascanio in exchange for Leake and international cap space totaling $750,000 for the current international signing period.Leake, 29, was 7-12 with a 4.21 ERA over 154 innings with 103 strikeouts in 26 starts for St. Louis this season. He began the season going 6-6 with a 2.97 ERA in his first 16 starts, before going 1-6 with a 6.94 ERA over his last 10.--Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper admitted he is frustrated with having to watch from the bench.Harper was unable to be part of Players Weekend after going on the disabled list Aug. 13, one day after he hyperextended his left knee in a home game against the San Francisco Giants. A 2015 National League MVP, Harper told reporters he is "a long ways from running" prior to Wednesday's game against the Miami Marlins.There is no timetable for the return of Harper.--Reviving New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge's dormant bat might require a shot in the arm.Judge said that conversations are ongoing about additional methods of treatment for his ailing left shoulder. Those options include a cortisone shot, Judge said.
