Stowell signed a minor league contract with the Rays on Saturday, the Tampa Bay Times' Marc Topkin reports.

A 28-year-old righty reliever, Stowell has never made it to the big leagues, but offers some organizational bullpen depth for Tampa Bay. He posted a 1.99 ERA and a 54:20 K:BB ratio in 49.2 relief innings with Double-A Montgomery last season.
