MONTREAL (AP) — Reliever Alex Wilson and the Milwaukee Brewers have finalized a $750,000, one-year contract, a deal that includes $825,000 in performance bonuses.The 32-year-old right-hander has a 3.23 ERA in six major league seasons, the past four with Detroit. PHOENIX (AP) — The Milwaukee Brewers vaunted bullpen is entering the season without a couple of its most imposing pieces.Corey Knebel is out indefinitely with a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow, the type of injury that sometimes ends in Tommy John surgery. He's expected to join Jeremy Jeffress, down with a sore right shoulder, on the injured list to open the season.Knebel had 16 saves and a 3.58 ERA with Milwaukee last season, plus a 1.29 ERA in six postseason appearances. He plans to see multiple doctors before deciding if he needs surgery."It's going to take a week for him to compile some opinions from other doctors and then sit down and make a decision on what he feels is the best way to get this thing right," manager Craig Counsell said Friday.Knebel missed about six weeks early last season with a hamstring injury. CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cleveland Indians signed free agent outfielder Matt Joyce and reliever Alex Wilson to minor league contracts.The deals include invites to spring training camp, where the defending AL Central champions must address two glaring issues — outfield depth and their bullpen. Joyce and Wilson agreed to their deals on Friday, pending medical exams which were completed Saturday.Joyce spent the past two seasons with the Oakland Athletics. The 34-year-old hit 25 home runs and drove in 68 runs in 2017, but was limited to 83 games last season because of lower back problems. Joyce was an All-Star in 2011 for Tampa Bay.If he makes the Indians' 40-man roster, Joyce will make $1.25 million next season while in the majors and he can earn $500,000 in performance bonuses.The 32-year-old Wilson pitched in 59 games for Detroit last season, posting a 3.36 ERA. He limited right-handed hitter to a .191 average. DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Tigers and left-hander Matt Moore have agreed to a one-year contract.Detroit announced the move Tuesday, adding a 29-year-old pitcher with a chance to compete for a spot in the rotation in 2019.Moore was 3-8 last season with a 6.79 ERA and 86 strikeouts in 12 starts and a career-high 39 appearances. His career record is 54-56 with a 4.56 ERA over eight seasons with Tampa Bay, San Francisco and Texas.
