Joseph signed a minor-league contract with the Orioles on Sunday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

The younger brother of Orioles catcher Caleb Joseph, Corban doesn't have much upside as a future big leaguer, though he did make his debut with the Yankees in 2013. Joseph has since spent the last two seasons stalling out in the high minors, with the Braves releasing him in June after he hit .268/.333/.301 for Double-A Mississippi. Expect the 26-year-old to stick around at the Double-A level and join the Orioles' affiliate in Bowie.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster. Joseph had a cup of coffee with the Yankees in 2013 and hit just .239 with a .712 OPS in 188 at-bats at Triple-A. The 25-year-old suffered an undisclosed injury that ultimately ended his season and limited him to just 47 games at the minor league level.
