The right-hander earned a no-decision in the contest, but is 3-1 with a 3.05 ERA and 87 strikeouts in 62 innings (13 starts) this season. The Marlins have one of the better rotations in the league and along with Perez, Max Meyer remains one of the top pitching prospects and is in Triple-A at the moment. Many scouts have taken the stance that Perez has the highest ceiling of all Marlin pitchers, both in the minors and majors and that is saying a lot for a team that rosters Pablo Lopez and Sandy Alcantara at the big-league level. The Marlins have no reason to rush Perez throughout his development, but dynasty league managers should seriously consider Perez with his potential to make an impact in 2023.

The right-hander went six innings and allowed three hits, zero runs, one walk and struck out five on the evening to improve to 2-1. Perez is a big presence at 6'8 and has shown plenty of improved velocity on his fastball over his young career with the Marlins. The Marlins have plenty of arms at both the big-league level and throughout the farm system, but some scouts have predicted Perez to have the most success of their minor league arms. Perez, 19, still has some seasoning to work on, but it he has risen through the system quickly and could enter the rotation by 2023. For the season, Perez has a 3.71 ERA to go along with 50 strikeouts in 34 innings. Dynasty managers should start monitoring Perez.

OF Eury Perez was acquired by the Rays from the Astros on Thursday in a cash transaction. Perez, 26, hit .267/.298/.385 with two homers, 16 RBIs and nine stolen bases in 52 games for Triple-A Fresno this season.

Perez was placed on DL with a broken left hand, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Perez was thought to be a potential September recall when the rosters expanded, but this injury likely puts an end to his season. In 133 at-bats with the Braves, Perez posted a .269/.331/..303 slash line with five runs batted in and three stolen bases.

Perez was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

Perez earned a consistent role in left field with a strong start to his campaign with the Braves, but he's tapered off as of late. The 25-year-old will now return to the minors, but could be an option for recall when the roster expands in September.

Perez is out of the lineup Sunday against the Marlins for the third straight game, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.

Friday's acquisitions of Nick Swisher and Michael Bourn appear to have spelled the end of Perez's run as an everyday player. The 25-year-old has posted a solid .352 on-base percentage and has stolen three bases in 40 games this season, but may need in injury in the Braves' outfield before regaining a regular role.

Perez is out of the lineup Friday against the Marlins.

Perez has latched on to the starting role in left field this season, and bumped his season average to .288 following two hits Thursday. However, he'll receive a day off Friday, with newly-recalled Todd Cunningham replacing him in left field and batting eighth for the Braves.

Perez is out of the lineup Thursday against the Rockies.

Perez continues to see most of the starts in left field, but that will go to Kelly Johnson on Thursday, while Chris Johnson will enter the lineup at first base. However, Perez still appears to be the primary left fielder at this point.

Perez is out of the lineup Sunday against the Phillies, Kevin McAlpin of the Braves radio network reports.

Perez has made three starts in the last four games, but manager Fredi Gonzalez will rest him Sunday in favor of Jonny Gomes in left field. The young outfielder has taken advantage of his recent opportunity, going 11-for-37 at the plate since his mid-June promotion.

Perez (upper body) will return to the lineup Wednesday against the Mets, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Perez While Perez wasn't in the lineup the last three games, it's quite possible his health wasn't the reason. He will return Wednesday, however, so at this point he be considered to have a relatively clean bill of health moving forward.

Perez left Sunday's game after an outfield collision with Cameron Maybin. While the team has cleared him medically, it's unknown whether he'll be an option off the bench.

Perez was forced to leave Sunday's game in the bottom of the ninth inning after colliding with Cameron Maybin in the outfield, the AJC reports. Perez was given a clean bill of health after the game, and he's expected to be fine going forward.

Perez came into the game as a defensive replacement for Jonny Gomes in the bottom of the eighth inning and was replaced by Joey Terdoslavich after the collision.

Perez is out of the lineup for the third time in four games Sunday against the Pirates.

Perez had assumed a starting role in left field for the Braves initially following his June 18 call-up, and has batted a respectable 8-for-27 (.296) over his nine games with the team. However, it appears manager Fredi Gonzalez has prioritized Jonny Gomes' power in the lineup over Perez's speed, which could hinder the 25-year-old's overall impact while he remains with the big club.
