Hoffman will sign a minor league deal with the Red Sox, Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish reports.
Hoffman spent most of last season in Triple-A and finished up the year with Triple-A Rochester of the Twins organization. Over 14 appearances for Rochester, the lefty managed to compile a 3.80 ERA.

The agreement comes with an invitation to major league spring training. Hoffman, 25, posted a 2.06 ERA and 35/16 K/BB ratio in 35 innings this year for the Tigers' Triple-A affiliate from Toledo, Ohio.
