White Sox released RHP Deunte Heath.

Heath has signed a contract with a Nippon Professional Baseball team. The 28-year-old right-hander posted a 3.22 ERA in 64 1/3 innings this season at Triple-A Charlotte.

The move was made in order to clear room on the 40-man roster for Mitchell Boggs. Heath appeared in five games for the White Sox last season, posting an 11.74 ERA while walking 12 over 7 2/3 frames.
