Rangers activated LHP Edwar Cabrera from the 60-day disabled list.
The 25-year-old left-hander didn't pitch in 2013 due to a shoulder injury, but he was considered one of Colorado's top pitching prospects in the recent past. The Rockies designated Cabrera off the 40-man roster in October and Texas claimed him off waivers in hopes of salvaging value from Cabrera's lively left arm.

Fri May 24 201303:25Cabrera (shoulder) still working his way back
Edwar Cabrera (left shoulder impingement) threw a 45-pitch bullpen session last month.
We've read nothing further regarding Cabrera, which probably means he isn't close to a rehab assignment. The 25-year-old lefty was placed on the 60-day disabled list in February. He's eligible for activation, but not healthy enough to pitch. Cabrera ranked as Colorado's ninth best prospect by MLB.com this offseason.

Tue Jul 24 201219:05Edwar Cabrera called up to start
Rockies recalled LHP Edwar Cabrera from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
He'll get the ball Tuesday in place of Drew Pomeranz (arm), but Pomeranz is expected to make his next start, so Cabrera could be sent right back down. Given how badly he struggled in his major league debut, he should be avoided against the D'Backs.

Mon Jul 23 201218:52Rox to call up LHP Edwar Cabrera
Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports that the Rockies are expected to call up left-hander Edwar Cabrera.
He'll presumably start Tuesday in place of Drew Pomeranz, who was scratched due to biceps soreness. Cabrera was knocked around for seven runs (five earned) on five hits and three walks against the Nationals in his major league debut on June 27. He's not worth a look outside of deeper NL-only leagues.

Thu Jun 28 201200:10Edwar Cabrera roughed up in MLB debut
Making his major-league debut, Edwar Cabrera allowed seven runs (five earned) on five hits and three walks in just 2 1/3 innings of Colorado's 11-5 loss to the Nationals.
So much for that. Cabrera notched just one strikeout while serving up three home runs. A 24-year-old with just 98 career innings above Single-A, Cabrera is off the fantasy radar in all formats.

Tue Jun 26 201218:43Rockies to start Cabrera on Wednesday?
The Rockies are expected to call up Edwar Cabrera for a start Wednesday against the Nationals.
Cabrera has surrendered 15 home runs in 98 innings this season for Double-A Tulsa, which doesn't bode well for his odds of success at Coors Field. The 24-year-old left-hander should be ignored in all fantasy leagues.
