It is the longest active winless streak in the Major Leagues. It is the third-longest in the Major Leagues since 2015. In his two previous starts, Cosart allowed a total of six runs on seven hits and nine walks in a total of 6 2/3 innings while throwing 161 pitches but only 79 strikes.
