Michael was off to a decent start at Double-A with a .862 OPS and two home runs. At 24, the 2011 first-round pick has been a disappointment during his career with a minor league career .697 OPS. It sounds like this is an injury that will cause him to miss multiple weeks.

Michael will play mostly second base at New Britain. He was hitting .305/.353/.395 at High-A. Coming off back-to-back disappointing seasons, Michael may finally putting all together, but the 2011 first-round draft pick needs to prove he can hold his own at higher levels as he was old (age 23) for High-A.

Twins second base prospect Levi Michael went 2-for-5 with a triple and two stolen bases for High-A Fort Myers on Wednesday.
This is his third consecutive season playing for the Fort Myers Miracle, so his .301/.343/.387 line is a step in the right direction. He previously split time between second base and shortstop, but he has exclusively played second base in 2014, with Jorge Polanco playing shortstop.
