Wed Aug 16 202314:05Dallas Keuchel Being Pushed Back To Sunday
The Minnesota Twins are using multiple off days this week to push left-hander Dallas Keuchel's next start in the rotation to this Sunday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Twins aren't in a rush to throw Keuchel back out there after he was shellacked to the tune of six earned runs on six hits while walking two and striking out none in just 1 2/3 innings in his last time out on Aug. 11 against the Philadelphia Phillies on the road. Keuchel was much better in his debut with Minnesota on Aug. 6 against the Arizona Diamondbacks, when he gave up just an earned run in five innings of work. The 35-year-old veteran southpaw will be going on eight days of rest in a great matchup this Sunday, but fantasy managers need to keep in mind that he has yet to strike a batter out in his 6 2/3 innings of work.

Fri Aug 4 202318:32Dallas Keuchel To Start On Sunday
Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel is set to make his season debut against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday. The 35-year-old was recalled after right-hander Joe Ryan (groin) landed on the injured list. Keuchel posted a strong 1.13 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 28/12 K/BB ratio across six starts in the minors. Possibly, the former CY Young award winner still has something left in the tank. Keuchel could be worth a look in deep leagues and AL-only formats.

Thu Aug 3 202317:11Dallas Keuchel Joins Twins Active Roster
The Minnesota Twins selected the contract of left-hander Dallas Keuchel from Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday with right-hander Joe Ryan (groin) going on the 15-day injured list. A blast from the past, Keuchel will be making his first big-league start in 2023 when he gets into a game for the Twins, likely in a starting role to replace Ryan in the rotation. The 35-year-old former American League Cy Young winner in 2015 with the Houston Astros was showing much better results in six starts for St. Paul this year, sporting a 1.13 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, 12 walks and 28 strikeouts in 32 innings. Keuchel isn't going to strike out many hitters and will be volatile, but he might be worth considering as a streamer in AL-only leagues, depending on the matchup.

Thu Jun 22 202312:16Dallas Keuchel Signs Minor-League Deal With Twins
The Minnesota Twins are signing free-agent left-hander Dallas Keuchel to a minor-league deal on Thursday. The Twins are throwing a flier out there on Keuchel, who hasn't pitched in the majors since last September with the Texas Rangers. He pitched for the Rangers, Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago White Sox last year and was not effective at all with a 9.20 ERA (5.52 FIP), 2.06 WHIP and 14.9 percent strikeout rate in 60 2/3 innings over 14 starts. The two-time All-Star has fallen on hard times in the last few seasons after last pitching well for the White Sox in the COVID-shortened 2020 season. The 35-year-old southpaw will need to pitch well in the minors to have any kind of shot at pitching for Minnesota in the second half of 2023. Continue ignoring him in fantasy.

Mon Sep 5 202219:30Dallas Keuchel Cut By Rangers
The Texas Rangers designated left-hander Dallas Keuchel for assignment on Sunday and released him on Monday. Left-hander John King was called up from Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday in a corresponding move. It's the third time that Keuchel has been designated for assignment this year, failing to latch on earlier this season with the Chicago White Sox and the Arizona Diamondbacks. The 34-year-old veteran southpaw surrendered 14 earned runs on 18 hits while walking four and striking out seven in just two starts for Texas, and he has an embarrassing 9.20 ERA and 2.06 WHIP in 14 overall starts in the big leagues in 2022. The two-time All-Star has fallen off a cliff in recent seasons and may not resurface again.

Sat Aug 27 202218:16Dallas Keuchel Starting Saturday For Rangers
Texas Rangers left-handed pitcher Dallas Keuchel will start Saturday against the Detroit Tigers after having his contract selected from Triple-A Round Rock. Keuchel was signed in July by the Rangers after pitching for both the White Sox and Diamondbacks earlier in the season. The 34-year-old has struggled mightily in the majors this season, compiling an 8.53 ERA and 2.03 WHIP over 50 IP. For what it's worth, he has been good with Round Rock, where he has a 2.31 ERA in four starts. Detroit's lineup is about as close to a Triple-A lineup as you'll find in the majors, so there's a chance he has a decent start. Still, it's not worth the risk.

Tue Jul 26 202200:36Dallas Keuchel Signs Minor League Deal With Rangers
The Texas Rangers signed starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel to a minor league contract Monday, per The Athletic's Levi Weaver. He will report to Triple-A Round Rock. The 34-year-old made 12 starts with the White Sox and Diamondbacks this season, compiling a poor 2-7 record with an 8.53 ERA and 2.03 WHIP before last being designated for assignment in July. The lefty had been a fantasy contributor for much of his career, but he hasn't been able to find success since 2020. Keuchel does not present any fantasy value at this time, as he will need to first make his way back to the big leagues and then prove that he can pitch somewhat effectively.

Wed Jul 20 202222:52Dallas Keuchel Designated For Assignment By Arizona
Arizona Diamondbacks left-hander Dallas Keuchel was designated for assignment on Wednesday, according to sources. It's the second time Keuchel has been DFA'd this year, with the first coming by the Chicago White Sox before the D-backs scooped him up. In four starts with the Snakes, the 34-year-old southpaw allowed 20 earned runs on 27 hits (four home runs) while walking seven and striking out 18 in 18 2/3 innings. In total, Keuchel has a ugly 8.53 ERA and 2.03 WHIP with only 38 K's and 27 walks in 50 2/3 innings over 12 starts for Chicago and Arizona in 2022. The two-time All-Star and Cy Young winner in 2015 with the Astros has fallen off a cliff. He will clear waivers and become a free agent yet again.

Mon Jun 6 202218:15Dallas Keuchel Signs With Diamondbacks
Free-agent left-hander Dallas Keuchel signed a minor league deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday. Keuchel was designated for assignment and ultimately released by the Chicago White Sox in late May after going 2-5 with a 7.88 ERA, 2.16 WHIP, 20 strikeouts and 20 walks in 32 innings over eight starts. He will initially report to Triple-A Reno, but the 34-year-old southpaw could have a shot to join Arizona's rotation at some point if he pitches well and shows better control on the mound. Keuchel will be reunited with pitching coach Brent Strom, whom he worked with for five years as a member of the Houston Astros.

Fri Jun 3 202217:00Dallas Keuchel Receiving Interest On Open Market
Free-agent left-hander Dallas Keuchel is receiving interest from multiple teams despite his 7.88 ERA in eight starts for the Chicago White Sox before he was released. The team that signs him will only be responsible for a minimum salary. The 34-year-old veteran still had a 6.21 FIP with 28 earned runs allowed on 49 hits while walking 20 and striking out 20 in 32 innings pitched. That's not the type of K:BB ratio you want to see from a big-league starter, and Keuchel also had just a 12.2% strikeout rate, which is the second-lowest of his career for a pitcher that only has an 18.2% strikeout rate in his 11-year career. If Keuchel lands in the starting rotation for another team, fantasy managers should be skeptical.

Sat May 28 202213:19Dallas Keuchel Designated For Assignment
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel has been designated for assignment on Saturday. He holds a 7.59 ERA, 2.16 WHIP and 20/20 K/BB ratio across eight starts this season. The 34-year-old has allowed 12 runs over six innings during his last two starts. The White Sox have decided to move on with this season being the final year of Keuchel's deal. There is a good chance he passes through waivers and ends up in free agency. Fantasy managers shouldn't bother rostering Keuchel even if he ends up elsewhere. In a corresponding move, the White Sox have recalled infielder Danny Mendick from Triple-A.

Thu Sep 16 202107:13Dallas Keuchel Tosses Quality Start On Wednesday
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel tossed a quality start in Wednesday's no-decision versus the Los Angeles Angels. The veteran went six innings and allowed six hits, two runs, five walks and struck out three on the evening. The five walks weren't ideal, but it was nice to see the big hurler finally go deep into a game. Keuchel has really struggled this season and is 8-9 with a 5.23 ERA. Next up for the lefty will be a matchup versus the Detroit Tigers on Monday. Even in a favorable matchup, Keuchel should be avoided in all formats.

Next up is a matchup versus the Oakland Athletics on Thursday. The veteran should be left on the waiver wire in all formats moving forward.

Sat Aug 28 202100:20Dallas Keuchel Gets Crushed In No-Decision
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel had a rough outing on Friday versus the Chicago Cubs. The lefty was only three batters in when Patrick Wisdom took him yard for a three-run homer and it was all downhill from there. The big hurler got beat up in a six-run first inning and was pulled in the top of the second inning when Frank Schwindel began the inning with a single. Keuchel finished the game with a line of seven hits, six runs (five earned), one walk and one strikeout over just one inning. The former Cy Young winner has been having a rough season and is 8-7 with an ugly 5.00 ERA. Next up for Keuchel will be a favorable matchup versus the Kansas City Royals on Friday. Even in a favorable matchup, the veteran can be ignored in most formats.

The lefty hurler allowed five hits, two runs, two walks and struck out two on the evening. The veteran is now 8-6 with a 4.48 ERA in 24 starts this season. Keuchel has been having a solid season for the Pale Hose, but doesn't offer much upside to fantasy managers with his lack of strikeouts. Next up for Keuchel will be a matchup versus the Tampa Bay Rays.

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel picked up the loss in Tuesday's contest versus the Minnesota Twins. Keuchel went six innings and allowed four hits, four runs, four walks and struck out one. Keuchel continues to be more valuable eating innings for the White Sox than he is helping out fantasy managers. With Tuesday's performance, Keuchel falls to 7-6 with a 4.51 ERA. Next up for the lefty will be a matchup versus the Oakland Athletics on Monday. Keuchel can remain on the waiver wire in most formats for now.

Thu Aug 5 202123:18Dallas Keuchel Pitches Well In Loss
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel earned a quality start in Thursday's loss versus the Kansas City Royals. Keuchel tossed six frames and allowed three hits, two runs, three walks and struck out five on the evening. The lefty gave up both of his runs on a two-run double by Emmanuel Rivera in the top of the first inning, but he settled down after that. Keuchel pitched well enough to earn a victory, but the White Sox offense was quiet on the evening. Keuchel is now 7-5 and will carry a 4.44 ERA into his next start versus the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday. Keuchel is best served as a streamer in favorable matchups moving forward.

Sat Jul 31 202122:49Dallas Keuchel Allows Five Runs In No-Decision
Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel struggled in Saturday's no-decision versus the Cleveland Indians. Keuchel went 5 1/3 innings this evening and allowed five hits, five runs, one walk and struck out four. The lefty has now given up nine runs over his last two outings. Keuchel remains 7-4 and will carry a 4.51 ERA into his next start versus a weak Chicago Cubs offense. Keuchel will be worth a look as a streamer or DFS option in that contest, but he doesn't hold much value outside of that to be an option in deeper leagues.
