Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Paco Rodriguez will miss eight to 10 weeks after having surgery to remove lose bodies from his elbow, according to the Orange County Register. Rodriguez appeared to be working his way back after being placed on the disabled list at the end of May because of discomfort in his elbow, as he was expected to join the Dodgers for their series against the Arizona Diamondbacks next week, but he could potentially miss the rest of the season while recovering from the procedure. “Disappointing for us and for him, obviously,” Dodgers manager Don Mattingly told the Los Angeles Times. “It was kind of back to those same feelings of not being able to let it go." Mattingly added that he does not believe the team will need to acquire an additional player to help in the bullpen while Rodriguez is out.
