"It looked a lot worse than it really was," Colabello said Monday. "I was never woozy." Colabello is hitting .080 (2-for-25) with an RBI in eight games this season.

Colabello went 1-for-2 with his 14th homer, a walk and three RBI against the Red Sox on Wednesday.

His three-run jack extended Colabello's modest hitting streak to four games, during which he's 7-for-13 with three walks. If you've been holding your breath waiting for his hot run to end, you've got to be blue in the face right now -- exhale and enjoy the ride when he's in the lineup.

Colabello went 2-for-4 with a double, a RBI and a walk in Tuesday's victory over the Red Sox.

In 89 games this season, Colabello has proven that his early-season success was not a short-term fluke. He's hitting for a .331/.374/.524 slash line with 13 home runs and 50 RBI and would be second in the AL in batting average if he qualified. The crowded Blue Jays lineup makes finding consistent at-bats difficult for Colabello, who's settled into a platoon with Justin Smoak at first base.

Colabello gets the start at first base and will bat sixth Monday against the Indians, according to Brendan Kennedy of the Toronto Star.

Colabello has been on fire in August, hitting for a 1.198 OPS with four home runs and 10 RBI, but has seen deadline acquisition Ben Revere usurp his playing time in the outfield. With a righty on the mound, Colabello gets the start at first base ahead of Justin Smoak.

Colabello went 2-for-4 with his 13th home run of the season in Tuesday's victory over the Rangers.

While playing time has been hard to come by for Colabello since the trade deadline, he's made the most of the opportunities presented to him. In 37 at-bats in August, he's hitting for a .459/.487/.838 slash line with four home runs and 10 RBI.

Colabello went 2-for-4 with his 11th homer of the year, four RBI and two runs Wednesday against the A's.

With a pair of long balls and a .526 average in seven August games to this point, he's bouncing back beautifully after hitting only .224 in July. While Colabello's impressively managed to maintain a batting average well over .300 -- and he now owns a nine-game hitting streak -- his power has made its presence known only occasionally, as he doesn't have more than four homers in any month, and the only month he managed to achieve that was May.
