The Indians added Moncrief to their 40-man roster back in November ahead of the Rule 5 draft, but the 26-year-old was never believed to have a realistic shot at an Opening Day roster spot. Moncrief, who went 6-for-25 (.240 average) with one extra-base hit (a double) in spring ball, will look to build on the .271/.328/.431 line he posted at Triple-A a year ago. | ||||||
