Hagens was outrighted off the Diamondbacks' 40-man roster Thursday, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Hagens was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Monday.
Hagens spent less than a week with the D-backs before being sent back to where he came from. He had two appearances with the club, allowing one run in his first outing while working a scoreless 1.2 innings the second trip to the mound. Will Harris will take his spot on the roster for now, but Hagens could find himself back with the big league club when the rosters expand in September.
