Stewart signed a minor-league contract with the Angels on Tuesday, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
The deal doesn't include an invite to big-league spring training, as Stewart mostly languished at Triple-A Gwinnett last season, posting a 4.58 ERA and just 59 strikeouts over 106 innings. Now 28 years old, the former top prospect for the Blue Jays now looks to be nothing more than an organization depth arm.

Braves acquired RHP Zach Stewart from the White Sox for cash considerations.
Stewart compiled a 4.28 ERA and 122/37 K/BB ratio over 167 1/3 innings last season with Chicago's Triple-A affiliate. The 27-year-old has a 6.82 ERA in 14 starts and 19 relief appearances in the majors. With the Braves' rotation suddenly looking questionable, the 27-year-old will provide some depth.

Zach Stewart got destroyed in his Red Sox debut Wednesday, allowing nine runs on 10 hits in just three innings of Boston's loss to the Angels.
That's going to leave a mark. It wasn't entirely unexpected, however, seeing as Stewart was the owner of a 5.92 ERA through 97 1/3 career innings coming into this evening. It's doubtful another start is in the works for the 25-year-old righty.

Zach Stewart was pummeled for five runs on six hits and a walk through two innings on Sunday.
A big blemish in an otherwise decent spring for the young right-hander. Hopefully Stewart's next long relief appearance will be measured by innings, not by pitches.

Zach Stewart got rocked by the Angels on Wednesday, surrendering seven runs on seven hits in six innings of a White Sox loss in Anaheim.
