The Braves will receive the 113th international bonus pool slot in exchange for Kurcz, who's spent all of 2015 pitching for Triple-A Gwinett. He's been pretty decent out of the bullpen for the club, posting a 3.27 ERA with 38 strikeouts in 33 innings. However, he's been somewhat lucky to limit the damage, having allowed 29 hits and 21 walks over the same amount of frames. He'll provide organizational depth for the Athletics out of the bullpen, but could be a candidate to eventually receive a recall if he can continue to pitch successfully at the Triple-A level. |
