The Kansas City Royals signed free agent right-hander Nick Wittgren to a minor-league contract with an invite to their Big League Camp. This will be Wittgren's fourth team over his seven-year career. He spent this past season in the Cardinals bullpen and posted a 5.90 ERA across 29 innings. The 31-year-old made 29 appearances and yielded a 7.5 BB%.
