Thu Apr 21 202211:37Zack Collins Hitting Cleanup For Toronto
Toronto Blue Jays catcher Zack Collins is doing the catching and is hitting cleanup on Thursday against Boston Red Sox right-hander Tanner Houck. It will be the first time that Collins has hit cleanup in the major leagues, but he'll get the nod there on Thursday after a hot start to his season. The 27-year-old backstop is hitting .400 (8-for-20) with two home runs, four RBI and three runs scored in the early going in his first six games. He has produced multi-hit performances in three of his last four games, going 8-for-15 with both of his homers and two doubles in that span. Collins has certainly become an attractive DFS play because of his hot streak, especially while hitting cleanup behind Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

Sun Apr 3 202217:59White Sox Trade Zack Collins For Reese McGuire
The Chicago White Sox and Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to a catcher swap. Zack Collins is headed to Toronto while Reese McGuire is on his way to Chicago. While it may seem like a perplexing trade on the surface, the reasoning behind it for both teams appears sound. In McGuire, the White Sox will have a more proven backup behind starter Yasmani Grandal. As for the Blue Jays, the club is loaded at catcher and the franchise wanted to reduce that depth. Collins has a minor league option left on his contract so he'll be headed to Triple-A while the team goes with just Danny Jansen and Alejandro Kirk as catching options to open the year.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Catcher Yasmani Grandal was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday by the Chicago White Sox with a torn tendon in his left knee. Grandal was injured during an at-bat in Monday's loss in Minnesota. Chicago estimated Grandal will be out approximately four to six weeks. “It was a twist that he made as he made his swing," White Sox manager Tony La Russa said. “Something got caught. It didn’t free up to make a turn on it. It got caught and something popped. I’m anxious to get a full diagnosis. He’s on his way to Chicago, maybe in Chicago already, and we’ll know more tomorrow.” Grandal was hitting just .188 as Chicago's starting catcher, but he had a .388 on-base percentage in 63 games to go with 14 home runs and 38 RBIs. Seby Zavala, 27, was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte and was with the team for Tuesday's game in Minnesota.
