Axelrod was rocked for eight runs on five hits (including three homers) and two walks over 1.2 innings in Saturday's loss to the Rockies.

In just his second relief appearance of the season, Axelrod was entirely helpless after coming on midway through the Rockies' 10-run third inning. Don't be surprised if he's returned to Triple-A Louisville in the next few days to reprise his role as organizational pitching depth.

This should come as no surprise after he left his last start with a strained right oblique, which often take a few weeks or more for pitchers to return from. Those in single-season leagues can feel comfortable dropping Axelrod at this point.
