May has gone 8-for-32 at Double-A Birmingham since returning from a concussion July 24.
May is likely experiencing an understandable amount of rust after spending six weeks on the disabled list. He was in the midst of an excellent season before the injury, achieving a .359 OBP to go with 25 steals.

May has been placed on the 7-day DL after suffering a concussion in Tuesday's game, the Chicago Tribune's Colleen Kane reports.
He was involved in a collision with Tim Anderson and took the worst of the contact, as Anderson only suffered bruised ribs. May is one of the fastest players in the minor leagues, which is why he is a top-10 fantasy prospect in Chicago's system. The jury is still out on whether he will hit enough against big league pitching to allow the speed to play, but it is an enticing package based on the 40-steal upside that he would offer. Hopefully he can recover fully from the concussion this year, which would allow him to push for a promotion to the big leagues in 2016.

May was carried off the field Tuesday after colliding with Tim Anderson.
Anderson was able to walk off under his own power, so it seems that May got the worst of the collision. Both players are still being evaluated but May should be considered out indefinitely for now.
