O'Dowd has been suspended 80 games for testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug, David O'Brien of the Atlanta-Journal Constitution reports.

O'Dowd will be forced to miss nearly all of Double-A Mississippi's remaining schedule -- the affiliate has 82 games left including Wednesday's doubleheader. The son of former Rockies' GM Dan O'Dowd, he was hitting .304/.429/.468 with two homers, three steals and a 18:19 BB:K in 26 games with Mississippi before testing positive.
