Sat Feb 3 | 13:20 | DJ Peters Signs Minor-League Deal With Texas |
Free-agent pitcher DJ Peters signed a minor-league contract with the Texas Rangers. The 28-year-old has been part of the Dodgers, Rangers, and Tigers organizations in the past and spent one season in the KBO as an outfielder. He's now a full-time pitcher and spent 2023 with the Tigers, pitching in the Florida Complex League. It didn't go too well last season, as he put up a poor 6.23 ERA and 2.031 WHIP over 21 2/3 innings, primarily as a reliever. It's unlikely he makes any sort of impact with the Rangers in 2024, but he's an interesting player, considering his former power-hitting chops. |

Fri Oct 1 2021 | 00:38 | DJ Peters Hits Three-Run Blast |
Texas Rangers outfielder DJ Peters has been someone that isn't talked about much on this roster. However, he put together a solid performance during Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. Peters went 2-for-4 with a home run, double, and three RBI in the 7-6 win. Peters now has 13 homers and driven in 38 RBI on the season. At first glance, those might not seem like decent numbers, but that was all in 51 games. Peters clearly has solid power and should give Texas something to think about heading into the offseason. |

Wed Aug 25 2021 | 01:43 | DJ Peters Belts Homer Off Indians |
Texas Rangers outfielder DJ Peters has been having a fairly below average season with the bat, but came up with a clutch hit on Tuesday. Peters went 1-for-5 at the plate, but managed to hit an important three-run home run in the ninth inning. His home run would help the Rangers secure the 7-3 win over the Cleveland Indians. Peters has flashed some signs of power in his brief time in Texas. However, he has not been reliable at the plate and can be ignored in fantasy formats. |

Sun Aug 15 2021 | 20:53 | DJ Peters Blasts Two Homers |
Texas Rangers outfielder DJ Peters came to play during Sunday's victory over the Oakland Athletics. He went 2-for-4 with two home runs and 4 RBI in the 7-4 win. The 25-year-old outfielder hasn't done much at the plate this season. In fact, Peters isn't even hitting over the .200 mark, but was able to offer some help on Sunday. It was a nice day at the plate for Peters, but he doesn't offer much upside or play enough to warrant rostering in fantasy formats. |
