Greg Miclat recently left the Panama Winter League due to a strained ribcage muscle. |
Miclat, acquired from the Orioles in the Taylor Teagarden trade, had a .280/.371/.347 batting line to go along with two home runs, 24 RBI, 50 stolen bases and a .718 OPS over 495 plate appearances with Double-A Bowie this past season. The 24-year-old infielder is expected to compete for a utility infielder job during spring training and got good news in that department Sunday when Andres Blanco signed with Washington. Miclat will be healthy when pitchers and catchers report. |

Miclat was originally listed as a player to be named later.
