Fri Aug 31 201219:37Iglesias cut as Texans get to 53
Texans waived or released WRs Juaquin Iglesias and Jeff Maehl, TEs Logan Brock and Philip Supernaw, DEs Keith Browner and Mitch King, LBs D.J. Bryant, Delano Johnson, Shawn Loiseau and Rennie Moore, DTs Hebron Fangupo and David Hunter, OT Nathan Menkin, S Eddie Pleasant, C Cody Wallace and G Cody White.
A standout at the University of Oklahoma, Iglesias is looking less and less likely to notch his first career catch since being a third-round pick of the Bears in 2009. Undrafted out of Oregon last season, Maehl briefly cracked the Texans' 53-man roster.

Tue Sep 27 201115:28Titans to work out WR Juaquin Iglesias
In addition to Donnie Avery and Buster Davis, the Titans will also work out free agent WR Juaquin Iglesias.
The Bears' 2009 third-rounder was a final cut by the Vikings in early September. He's battling at least three veteran receivers to be signed as the Titans' fifth wideout.

Sat Sep 3 201112:23Vikes waive Iglesias
Vikings waived WR Juaquin Iglesias.
A third-round pick of the Bears in 2009, Iglesias has been a total bust to this point in his career, failing to even appear in a game. He reeled in five balls for 63 yards this preseason. Minnesota will keep Devin Aromashodu and Greg Camarillo in the final two receiver spots.

Sat Jan 1 201114:30Vikings to snatch Iglesias from Bears P.S.?
Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune is reporting that the Vikings have signed WR Juaquin Iglesias from the Bears practice squad.
If true it's a nice pickup, as the third-round pick in 2009 has more upside than Greg Lewis and Hank Baskett. Look for Iglesias to see some targets in Week 17, though it won't be enough to make him worth adding in fantasy leagues.

Sun Sep 5 201017:46Bears announce practice squad
Bears signed WR Juaquin Iglesias, WR Greg Mathews, FB Eddie Williams, C Edwin Williams, OG James Marten, OT Levi Horn, and DE Barry Turner to their practice squad.
Iglesias was the 99th overall pick in 2009, but didn't put enough on tape in the preseason to warrant a claim. Mathews flashed more big-play ability.
Fri Sep 3 201021:31Bears to cut Iglesias?
FOX Sports' Adam Caplan reports that the Bears are "leaning toward" cutting WR Juaquin Iglesias.
Sam Bradford's No. 1 receiver in college didn't show too poorly in the preseason, so Iglesias would likely be snapped up on waivers by a receiver-needy team like St. Louis (where Bradford just so happens to have landed). Iglesias does not lack the skill set to play in the slot in a West Coast offense.

Thu Sep 2 201009:08Iglesias unlikely to make team
Juaquin Iglesias is unlikely to make the team unless the Bears decide to go with six receivers.
They're unlikely to do so, as Iglesias would need to be a special teams standout for that to happen, and he's simply not. The former third-round pick impressed during the spring but went back to his disappointing ways during training camp.

Fri Aug 6 201009:20Iglesias still out with quad injury
Juaquin Iglesias (quad) has missed the Ravens last five practices.
Iglesias must get back on the field quickly as he has a battle on his hands just to make the final roster. When he gets back, he'll have to show something on special teams play fast in Mike Martz's offense.

Sun Aug 1 201020:21Iglesias won't make Bears' final 53?
Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune believes that WR Juaquin Iglesias faces an "uphill battle" to make the Bears' final 53.
Iglesias is already out with a groin injury, and he's no higher than sixth on the depth chart behind Devin Hester, Johnny Knox, Devin Aromashodu, Earl Bennett, and Rashied Davis. At this point, the only thing keeping Iglesias safe is the "scholarship" that came with being a third-round pick in 2009.

Thu Jul 15 201009:48'Night and day' difference in Iglesias
There has been a "night and day difference" in second-year WR Juaquin Iglesias compared to last year, according to Bears receivers coach Darryl Drake.
Iglesias drew praise throughout offseason practices after failing to catch a pass as a rookie. Rashied Davis has an edge on special teams, however, so Iglesias remains a poor bet to be active on game days in 2010. He's still a long-term project in Chicago.

Fri May 14 201009:19Iglesias improved in second half of 2009?
According to Bears wide receivers Derryl Drake, 2009 third-rounder Juaquin Iglesias made major strides in the second half of last season.
After being left in the dust by Johnny Knox last year, Iglesias is currently sixth on the depth chart at receiver. He'll have to come on strong in training camp to earn even a small role in Mike Martz's offense.
