Halsey, 30, hasn't appeared in a major league game since 2006, when he posted a 4.67 ERA and 1.63 WHIP over seven starts for Oakland. He pitched for New York back in 2004 as a 23-year-old. The Yankees have assigned him to extended spring training in Tampa and will groom him as a left-handed relief specialist. |
