Sanabia signed a minor league contract with the Angels on Tuesday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports. |
The Marlins welcomed Sanabia back after the Diamondbacks cut ties in early May, and the right-hander went on to post decent numbers in 20 appearances (19 starts) with Triple-A New Orleans (7-4, 3.98 ERA, 93:32 K:BB). He hasn't had much success in 28 career appearances (24 starts) at the major league level, with a 4.15 ERA and 1.44 WHIP, but he at least fills an organizational depth need for his new club. |

He makes them hit the ball." Sanabia, who has missed most of the year with elbow issues, is slated to go to the Arizona Fall League in order to make up for some lost innings. |
