Fri Mar 6 201514:22Oher has agreed to sign two-year contract with Panthers
Oher has agreed to sign a two-year contract with the Panthers, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Oher was a first-round pick in 2009 and immediately started the first 80 games of his career for the Ravens, playing both left and right tackle along the way. On the heels of that impressive stint in Baltimore, Oher signed a five-year deal with the Titans last offseason. However, after underwhelming with the Titans while nursing a toe injury, he was waived by the team last month. Now, with the Panthers desperately seeking more reliability at left tackle, Oher is projected as Carolina's starting blind-side protector for quarterback Cam Newton moving forward.
Thu Feb 5 201516:57Michael Oher: (Toe) Released By Titans
Oher (toe) was released by the Titans on Thursday, Jim Wyatt of The Tennesean reports.
This is an entirely unsurprising development, as it never made any sense for the Titans to give Oher a big contract in the first place. Despite peaking as a rookie and subsequently struggling, Oher was signed to a four-year, $20 million deal last March, following his unimpressive tenure in Baltimore. Assuming he makes a full recovery from season-ending toe surgery, Oher should draw some interest in free agency. If he's signed as a likely starter, he'll again have his name recognition to thank for it.
Mon Dec 15 201416:45Oher will have surgery on Wednesday
Oher will have surgery on Wednesday, TitanInsider.com's Terry McCormick reports.
He has already been ruled out for the season, and has been diagnosed with arthritis in his toe. The Titans hope that by shutting Oher down early, he will be able to return at full health in 2015.
Sat Dec 13 201415:20Oher (toe) placed on season-ending injured reserve Saturday
Oher (toe) was placed on season-ending injured reserve Saturday, Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports.
Oher has been dealing with a toe injury that has caused him to miss the Titans' last two games, and would have likely kept him out of Sunday's contest against the Jets as well. In what has been a lost season for the Titans, the team is clearly focused on getting Oher healthy for next season, rather than rush him back from injury to play in largely meaningless games this season.
Mon May 26 201414:52Michael Oher expected to compete with Lewan
The Nashville Tennessean believes new Titans RT Michael Oher will have to compete with No. 11 overall pick Taylor Lewan in training camp.
This would be the same Michael Oher the Titans gave $9.5 million guaranteed in March. Beat writer Jim Wyatt is just stating the obvious, but it's worth passing along nonetheless. Wyatt "fully expects" each of Oher, Lewan and LT Michael Roos to remain on the roster come Week 1. The Titans have had a baffling offseason.

Fri Mar 14 201418:37Titans overpay RT Oher: 4 years, $20 million
Titans signed RT Michael Oher to a four-year, $20 million contract with $9.5 million guaranteed.
We have to believe Ozzie Newsome is chuckling at this one. Oher, 28 in May, never got better during his five-year stint in Baltimore, struggling mightily in spot duty at left tackle and performing at a well-below-average clip on the right side. He graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 68 tackle in 2013, among 76 qualifiers. Oher was a dead-last 76th in run blocking with eight sacks allowed. He'll replace David Stewart at right tackle in Nashville. For the second consecutive offseason, the Titans are having a head-scratching free agency period under scuffling GM Ruston Webster. (At least they "landed" Charlie Whitehurst.)

Fri Mar 14 201409:54Free agent RT Michael Oher visiting Titans
Free agent RT Michael Oher is visiting the Titans.
It's Oher's first known action of free agency. The former No. 23 overall pick of the 2009 draft is a classic case of a player whose name is bigger than his game. Oher can't play left tackle and even struggles on the right side. He's also a penalty machine. The Titans would be better off with Byron Stingily at right tackle. If Oher leaves his Tennesse visit, he'll then take a trip to Oakland.

Mon Mar 3 201416:54Report: Ravens yet to talk with Michael Oher
The Baltimore Sun reports the Ravens have yet to begin contract talks with free agent RT Michael Oher.
Per reporter Aaron Wilson, the Ravens aren't expected to talk with Oher until they reach a resolution with fellow free agent Eugene Monroe. It's safe to say the Ravens aren't afraid to let Oher walk. He was a bottom-10 tackle in Pro Football Focus' ratings last season.

Sun Feb 16 201412:50Michael Oher not expected back in Baltimore
According to the Baltimore Sun, re-signing free agent RT Michael Oher "isn't a priority" for the Ravens, and he's "probably seen his last days in Baltimore."
A rare first-round whiff by GM Ozzie Newsome, Oher has been a below-average starter since entering the league in 2009. Across 16 starts in 2013, the 27-year-old graded out 57th among 80 qualifiers in Pro Football Focus' tackle ratings. Oher may have to settle for a one-year, "prove-it" deal in free agency.

Sat Sep 14 201319:56Michael Oher (ankle) probable for Week 2
Ravens RT Michael Oher (ankle) is listed as probable for Week 2.
Oher was a full participant in practice this week and won't end up missing any time after leaving the season opener with an ankle injury. He'll likely be playing at less than 100 percent, but is healthy enough to start Sunday against the Browns.

Wed Sep 11 201313:34Oher says ankle injury is worst of career
Ravens RT Michael Oher characterized his sprained right ankle as the "worst of his entire football career."
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reported on Saturday that Oher is "not expected to miss significant time," but it's clear that the injury is more serious that originally thought. He's looking questionable, at best, for Week 2. Oher didn't rule himself out for Sunday's game against the Browns and is hoping to return to practice this week.

Sat Sep 7 201319:09Oher (ankle) could return in Week 2
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora confirms RT Michael Oher (ankle) is not expected to miss significant time.
Oher left Thursday night's game with a sprained right ankle, but managed to avoid a serious injury. He remains day-to-day. The Ravens are hoping the extra time off will allow Oher to return in Week 2 against the Browns.

Fri Sep 6 201315:26Michael Oher only has a sprained ankle
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on NFL Insiders Friday that RT Michael Oher escaped Thursday's game with a routine ankle sprain.
Schefter suspects Oher will play in Week 2, with his chances increased by the fact the Ravens have extra time off following a Thursday opener. Baltimore's offensive line play declined noticeably with Oher out of the game, and replaced by rookie Rick Wagner. The 0-1 Ravens will host the Browns in Week 2.

Thu Sep 5 201322:20Oher questionable to return w/ ankle injury
Ravens RT Michael Oher was forced from Thursday evening's opener against the Broncos with a sprained right ankle, and is questionable to return.
Oher got rolled up by teammate Marshal Yanda. Running around on the sideline, Oher looked like he might return, but for now rookie Ricky Wagner is in the game at right tackle.

Sat Aug 3 201318:03Michael Oher prefers to play right tackle
Michael Oher said he prefers to play right tackle over left tackle.
"I've flip-flopped back and forth ever since I got here and played both sides, but I think right tackle is my best position," Oher said. "I think I'm better over there and the team is better with me over there." The fifth-year pro is right about that last part. But no matter which side he's played, Oher has given up far too many pressures. Entering the final year of his contract, Oher could use a big season if he wants to cash in like Colts RT Gosder Cherilus did in March -- five years and $34.5 million with $15.5 million guaranteed.

Mon Feb 4 201311:41Oher triggers a salary escalator in contract
Ravens RT Michael Oher triggered an escalator in his rookie contract, raising his 2013 salary from $3.085 million to $3.785 million.
After winning the Super Bowl, Oher is now entering the final year of his contract. Back in October, it was reported that the Ravens had held "preliminary" extension talks. With Oher bouncing between left and right tackle over the years, it could complicate the discussions. Left tackles are valued more, so, in turn, they are paid more. Oher's versatility can't be overlooked, though. Joe Flacco will certainly dominate contract headlines this offseason, but Oher won't be far behind as a solid pass protector.

Wed Oct 24 201213:31Ravens having extension talks with Oher
The Ravens have held "preliminary" extension talks with LT Michael Oher, who is signed through 2013.
The Ravens' right tackle a season ago, Oher has shifted back to the blindside in 2012, grading out neutrally in Pro Football Focus' ratings. It's doubtful the Ravens are pursuing a new deal with urgency, though locking up tackles on the cheap is never a bad idea.

Thu Sep 13 201213:50Michael Oher will stay on the blindside
The Ravens are "moving forward" with Michael Oher as their left tackle.
Oher will stay on Joe Flacco's blindside as the Ravens transition to a younger offensive to better handle the tempo of the no-huddle heavy offense. Veteran Bryant McKinnie is being kept on the roster as an insurance policy for Oher and rookie RT Kelechi Osemele.
