Unrein signed a two-year deal with the Chargers on Wednesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Unrein spent the last four seasons with the Broncos, but was limited to one tackle over eight games in his 2014 campaign. He'll look to compete with the likes of Sean Lissemore and Ryan Carrethers for reps at defensive tackle in San Diego's 3-4 defensive scheme.
Mon Apr 21 201413:18Broncos sign DT Mitch Unrein
Broncos signed restricted free agent DT Mitch Unrein to a one-year, $1.431 million contract.
They also re-upped exclusive rights free agents CB Tony Carter, SS Duke Ihenacho, and LB Brandon Marshall to minimum salary deals. Unrein, 27, tallied 20 tackles as a reserve defensive tackle last season, and also has value as a short-yardage fullback. He's a versatile role player.

Fri Mar 7 201414:16Broncos give Unrein lowest tender
Broncos extended an original pick tender to restricted free agent DT Mitch Unrein.
It's the lowest possible RFA tender, and values at $1.431 million. It's a good contract offer for Unrein, a special teamer and reserve who can double at fullback and defensive tackle. He should sign on the dotted line quickly.

Broncos re-signed exclusive rights free agent DT Mitch Unrein to a one-year, $555,000 contract.
Unrein, 26, appeared in all 16 games last season, starting twice. He recorded 20 tackles as a top reserve, and he'll fill the same role in 2013. Ideally, the Broncos will add more depth behind starters Kevin Vickerson and Terrance Knighton.

Fri Sep 3 201023:41Texans waive several more
Texans waived DT Mitch Unrein, C/G Chris White, WR Bobby Williams, and S Torri Williams.
The Texans' final roster is just about set. White started eight games last year, but Houston is going young on the line (and at most positions). Both of the Williamses were undrafted free agents, as well as Unrein.
