The Browns have signed Starks to a two-year deal worth $8 million, espncleveland.com reports.

Wed Mar 11 201510:28Starks released by Dolphins on Wednesday
Starks was released by the Dolphins on Wednesday, Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post reports.
Starks offers some ability as a pass rusher on the interior, but the Dolphins' recent signing of big-ticket free agent Ndamukong Suh would have made Starks an expensive backup player. With the team unwilling to commit $5 million to a player who would have likely seen limited snaps, Starks will now have to look for an opportunity elsewhere. Though his performance took a step back in 2014 (28 tackles, 4.5 sacks), it wouldn't be surprising if he still earned a starting role with another organization during the upcoming season.

Starks finished the 2014 season with 28 tackles and 4.5 sacks.
Starks had an average season as his tackle numbers were a little low but his sack figure was right in line with what he has produced over the past four seasons. He is a solid anchor in the middle, alas one that is never quite happy with his contract.

Wed Mar 12 201415:13Dolphins keep Starks with 2-year, $12M deal
Dolphins re-signed DT Randy Starks to a two-year, $12 million contract.
The Dolphins moved quickly on keeping Starks after losing Paul Soliai to the Falcons. A starter for the Dolphins since 2009, Starks remained both an effective run stopper and pass rusher last season. Although he's now 31, Starks has been highly durable. He hasn't missed a game since 2007.

Sat Mar 8 201414:12Randy Starks had falling out with Joe Philbin
The Miami Herald reports "many around the league" believe free agent DT Randy Starks is not a personality fit with coach Joe Philbin.
Starks has yet to receive a contract offer from the Dolphins and is fully expected to leave Miami. He was a top-five defensive tackle in terms of stopping the run last year and should draw free agent interest despite his character concerns. With Paul Soliai also likely gone, Jared Odrick will be counted on for heavy snaps in 2014.

Thu Jan 30 201422:24DT Starks unlikely to give Dolphins discount
The Miami Herald considers DT Randy Starks unlikely to give the Dolphins a discount in free agency after being forced to play under the franchise tag in 2013.
According to reporter Armando Salguero, Starks was "somewhat peeved" playing under the one-year tender. Starks turned 30 in December, and will certainly be chasing every nickel in what will almost certainly be his final shot at a multi-year deal. Rotating with Paul Soliai and Jared Odrick, Starks notched 49 tackles, four sacks and a forced fumble this season. He hasn't missed a game since 2007.

Wed Oct 16 201309:28Randy Starks admits he's playing for contract
Dolphins DT Randy Starks admitted he's highly motivated this year because, "I want that long-term contract."
Starks is playing this season on a one-year, $8.5 million franchise tender and the Dolphins don't appear interested in negotiating an extension right now. They're using him in a rotation with Paul Soliai and Jared Odrick. Still, Starks has been productive as he's picked up two sacks and graded out as PFF's No. 8 defensive tackle. The rotation is working.
