Baltimore cut Cody on Friday after learning he is under investigation for animal cruelty, ESPN.com reports.
Cody is under investigation but not arrested for a cruelty case involving a dog, but nothing else is known at this point. A complete bust of a second-round pick from the 2010 draft, the Ravens only kept Cody around this long due to his draft pedigree. It wouldn't be surprising if he's done in the NFL.
Tue Nov 4 201413:01Cody (hip) activated from Ravens' PUP list Tuesday
Cody (hip) was activated from the Ravens' PUP list Tuesday, The Baltimore Sun reports.
Cody began practicing in mid-October, after landing on the Ravens' PUP list to begin this season. However, now that Cody is ready to go, he'll join Baltimore's active roster and compete for playing time at defensive end.
Wed Oct 15 201409:58Cody (hip) will return to practice Wednesday
Cody (hip) will return to practice Wednesday, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.
Cody was forced to miss the Ravens' first six games by virtue of opening the season on the PUP list, but he'll now attempt to work himself back into the team's rotation at defensive tackle. The mammoth Cody tallied 15 stops across 12 games last season.
Mon Sep 1 201416:30Cody (hip) placed on reserve/PUP list
Cody (hip) has been placed on the reserve/PUP list, ruling him out for the first six weeks of the season, the Ravens' official website reports.
A former second-round draft pick, Cody did little of note during his rookie contract, and then re-signed with the Ravens for the veteran's minimum. The team seems to at least view him as a suitable backup, but even if he gets healthy, Cody is unlikely to play more than a few snaps per game.
Sun Aug 3 201421:18Cody (hip) not expected to return for at least few more weeks
Cody (hip) is not expected to return for at least a few more weeks, ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley reports.
Cody now seems to be in danger of missing Week 1, but his absence wouldn't mean much to the Ravens. A former second-round bust, Cody is merely fighting for a roster spot after signing a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum.

Ravens placed DT Terrence Cody on the active/PUP list.
He'll be eligible for activation at any time during camp, but it appears Cody has not yet been medically cleared following his second hip surgery in as many offseasons. Cody is competing for a roster spot in a contract year.

Fri Apr 4 201414:59Ravens re-sign DT Terrence Cody
Ravens re-signed DT Terrence Cody.
"Mount Cody" is still only 25, but has been a major disappointment as the 57th overall pick in the 2010 draft, struggling as a run stopper and providing nothing in the pass-rush department. He'll have to battle to keep his roster spot.

Wed Mar 26 201416:31Ravens still in contact with FA Terrence Cody
The Baltimore Sun reports the Ravens recently met with free agent NT Terrence Cody.
Cody hasn't drawn a lick of interest in free agency after producing 87 largely empty tackles and zero sacks in four seasons since being the 57th overall pick in the 2010 draft. With Haloti Ngata possibly moving off the nose to defensive end, the Ravens are looking for depth behind projected starting NT Brandon Williams.

Sun Sep 22 201319:20Terrence Cody could miss a couple weeks
Ravens NT Terrence Cody sustained a knee sprain in Sunday's Week 3 win over the Texans and could miss a couple weeks.
"It does not look to be a long-term sprain," Coach John Harbaugh said. "We'll know more tomorrow. It could be this week, but more likely, it will be a couple of weeks." The loss of Cody is a blow to the depth of the Ravens front three. They'll have to get third-round rookie Brandon Williams ready for Week 4.

Sun Sep 22 201313:24Terrence Cody sprains knee Sunday
Ravens NT Terrence Cody sprained his knee in the first quarter of Sunday's Week 3 game against the Texans and is doubtful to return.
Cody was in a ton of pain as he was lying on the field, clutching the leg of the Ravens trainers. Third-round rookie NT Brandon Williams is inactive, leaving the Ravens a little thin behind Haloti Ngata.

Tue Jul 23 201318:25Terrence Cody medically cleared for camp
Ravens NT Terrence Cody (hip surgery) was medically cleared for the start of training camp.
Cody should feel urgency this year. He's entering a contract season, and the Ravens used a third-round draft pick on NT Brandon Williams. Cody is coming off a very poor year, where he got pushed around in the run game. Run stuffing is supposed to be Mount Cody's strength because he can't pressure the pocket.

Mon Jul 8 201314:41Terrence Cody won't be full-go for camp
Ravens NT Terrence Cody (hip surgery) is not expected to be a full-go for the start of training camp.
Cody was slated for a reduced role anyway following the addition of Chris Canty, which will push Haloti Ngata inside to nose. Cody has been a disappointment and rare early-round miss by GM Ozzie Newsome as the 57th overall pick in the 2010 draft. Cody believes he'll "probably" be ready for the season opener.

Thu May 30 201313:47Mt. Cody on roster bubble?
The Baltimore Sun believes DT Terrence Cody will have to prove he's worthy of a roster spot this summer.
Cody lost his starting job to Ma'ake Kemoeatu last season, and the Ravens drafted defensive tackle Brandon Williams in the third round of the draft. Cody has never been expected to rush the passer, but he's equally poor against the run and graded out as the worst defensive lineman on the team. He'll need to show an improved sense of urgency in order to make the final roster.

Wed Apr 3 201318:43Terrence Cody undergoes hip surgery
Ravens DT Terrence Cody recently underwent hip surgery, but is expected to be 100 percent for training camp.
It's bad timing for a player who's been put on notice after a sub-par 2012. Removed from the starting lineup after just three games last season, Cody is going to have to be healthy and in-shape to be assured of a roster spot this summer.

Wed Feb 13 201311:27Ravens want to upgrade middle of defense
GM Ozzie Newsome said his biggest priority is upgrading at defense tackle.
It's a direct shot at Terrence Cody, who lost his starting job to Ma'ake Kemoeatu this season and graded out as the Ravens' worst defensive lineman. Kemoeatu is 34 and an unrestricted free agent, but you can bet that Cody will have competition this offseason. He's never been able to rush the passer and is getting blown off the ball in the run game at the NFL level.

Fri Jan 25 201313:56Terrence Cody has been a bust in Baltimore
The Baltimore Sun considers former second-round pick Terrence Cody a "bust" through three NFL seasons.
Cody, the 57th overall pick in the 2010 draft, gets pushed around in the run game despite weighing 350-plus pounds and lost his starting job this season to retread veteran Ma'ake Kemoeatu. Cody is under contract for 2013, but he may have to compete for a roster spot in training camp next summer.

Mon May 28 201210:39Terrence Cody working on gaining muscle
Ravens NT Terrence Cody believes he may have lost weight too quickly last offseason.
It's an ominous quote out of context from a player who used to tip the scales at 400 pounds, but Cody is working on gaining muscle, not weight. "Losing that weight last year kind of made me a little weak because I lost it a little too fast," Cody said. "(But) I feel like I am getting a lot stronger. I am feeling good." Coach John Harbaugh raved in April that Cody looked "tremendous."

Thu Apr 5 201210:15Terrence Cody working out every day
Ravens NT Terrence Cody has been working out at club headquarters every day since the 2011 season ended.
"He looks tremendous," said John Harbaugh. Cody came out of Alabama in 2010 with a flabby body, but the Ravens have molded him into an emerging star. Now going on age 24, Cody will return as Baltimore's two-down nose tackle.

Fri Oct 7 201110:23Cody excelling as Gregg replacment
The Ravens credit NT Terrence Cody for their stout run defense after moving on from Kelly Gregg.
"He dominates in there quite a bit," coach John Harbaugh said. "He is big, he is athletic, he is moving so well, he stays square. ... I know you put him in there with Haloti, and I think our linebackers appreciate having those two guys in the middle." The Ravens have done a commendable job of mixing in young defensive talent to go with Ray Lewis and Ed Reed.
