Free agent ILB Kavell Conner will visit the Chargers on Wednesday, and is expected to sign.
The Indy-to-San Diego pipeline continues. Conner entered 2013 on the trade block, and ended up playing only 115 snaps. Conner was mostly ineffective as a starter from 2010-12. He'd be an early-down, run-stopping specialist for the Bolts.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Colts ILB Kavell Conner is on the trade block.
A starter most of the past three seasons, Conner tallied 54 tackles in 2012, but played just 326 snaps. He's an early-down thumper. It's an indication the Colts want to start Pat Angerer opposite Jerrell Freeman.

Colts ILB Kavell Conner's 2013 base salary increased from $575,000 to $630,000 after he hit escalators in his rookie deal.
Conner has started 36 games over his first three seasons after being a seventh-round pick out of Clemson in 2010. A year after racking up 104 tackles as the Colts' strong-side linebacker in 2011, Conner moved inside as the Colts transitioned to the 3-4 defense. He's proven to be strong against the run.

Tue Sep 6 201114:41Kavell Conner will start on weak side
Kavell Conner will enter the season as the Colts' starting weak-side linebacker.
A seventh-round steal last season, Conner has already drawn comparisons to former Titans linebacker David Thornton. Thanks to an appendectomy that kept Ernie Sims out for much of August, Conner had little competition for the job. Sims will play on nickel downs once he gets back to full strength.

Colts president Bill Polian believes that 2010 seventh-round pick Kavell Conner can be "the next David Thornton."
Thornton was a versatile linebacker for the Colts early in his career, coming up as a fourth-round pick and earning a starting job by his second season. Conner, 24, collected nine starts in his rookie campaign. He's in line to compete for a starting position on the strong side during the 2011 offseason.

Rookie Kavell Conner could make a second straight start at weak-side linebacker against the Broncos on Sunday.
