Brown (knee) is not expected to play in Saturday's preseason game, the New York Daily News' Ralph Vacchiano reports.
Brown could make the Giants as a backup cornerback, but he would need an injury or two ahead of him on the depth chart to be very useful in IDP formats.
Thu Mar 12 201520:06Brown has reached agreement to re-sign with Giants
Brown has reached an agreement to re-sign with the Giants, NJ.com reports.
Released by Baltimore following a rocky start to the 2014 season, Brown ended up landing in New York, where injuries again pushed him into a starting role. He's been picked on by opposing quarterbacks throughout his career, and he'll likely be no better than third on New York's cornerback depth chart.
Wed Nov 5 201417:44Brown has signed with New York Giants
Brown has signed with the New York Giants, Ebenezer Samuel of the New York Daily News reports.
It might be a while before Brown sees reliable time on the field for New York. Brown had a miserable 2014 with the Ravens, allowing long touchdowns and getting cut after a particularly bad night against the Steelers.
Tue Nov 4 201411:18Brown released by Ravens on Tuesday
Brown was released by the Ravens on Tuesday, The Baltimore Sun reports.
Brown has endured a rough campaign to date, which was punctuated by him allowing a 54-yard touchdown pass over the weekend. Additionally, Brown was found guilty on the Bengals' game-winning touchdown pass to beat the Ravens in Week 1. Overall, Brown failed to make the cut in his reserve cornerback role, which could lead to Tramain Jacobs being promoted from the Ravens' practice squad.

Brown recorded one tackle on 38 snaps in Thursday's 26-6 win over the Steelers.
Brown was replaced in the starting lineup by Asa Jackson, who left in the second quarter with a concussion. The Ravens only entered the game with three healthy cornerbacks, and they used safety Jeromy Miles as the nickelback. Brown appears destined for a role as the No. 4 corner, but with both Jackson and Lardarius Webb (back) uncertain for Week 3 at this time, there's some chance Brown could draw his second start of the season next week.
Mon Sep 8 201412:34Brown got beat by Bengals wide receiver A.J
Brown got beat by Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green for a game-winning, 77-yard touchdown pass in Sunday's regular-season opener.
Starting in place of Lardarius Webb, Brown played nearly every defensive snap, finishing the game with five tackles (four solo). He struggled in the preseason and was viewed as the obvious weak link in the Baltimore defense, but he wasn't picked on that often until the biggest play of Sunday's game. Brown could make for a surprisingly strong IDP option if he gets another start, as he'd likely be challenged quite a few times by Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger. However, Brown isn't a particularly good tackler, and Webb is apparently making progress in his recovery.
Sun Aug 17 201415:24Brown may need to take on larger role
With the Ravens banged up at cornerback, Brown may need to take on a larger role.
Brown entered training camp in a battle with Asa Jackson (ankle) for the No. 3 cornerback spot, but Jackson seemingly pulled away before suffering an injury. With starting corners Lardarius Webb (back) and Jimmy Smith (chest) also banged up, Brown may be a big part of the defense in Week 1, a prospect that the Ravens likely aren't too excited about. If he ends up starting, Brown will be an interesting short-term IDP because of the likelihood that he'll be picked on by opposing quarterbacks.

Brown was tossed out of practice Saturday by coach John Harbaugh after he kicked a football in frustration, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Brown is competing with Asa Jackson for the No. 3 cornerback job. Brown had a potential interception glance off his hands. He then booted the ball downfield, angering Harbaugh since that would have drawn a penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct in a game.
Fri Aug 1 201417:07Brown competing with Asa Jackson for 3rd cornerback role
Brown is competing with Asa Jackson for the No. 3 cornerback role, the Ravens' official website reports.
Brown struggled as the Ravens' No. 4 or 5 corner the last two seasons, while Jackson has done little of note besides garnering suspensions of four (2012) and eight (2013) games for violations of the NFL's drug policy. Jackson is a quicker, smaller player who profiles better in the slot, but Brown won't necessarily need to master the slot to win out, as top cornerback Lardarius Webb is capable of moving inside in the nickel. Cornerback depth is arguably the Ravens' most pressing issue on defense at the moment, and both Brown and Jackson would likely be singled out by opposing quarterbacks if forced into a starting role. Jimmy Smith is locked in as the starter across from Webb, meaning both Brown and Jackson would need an injury to one of the starters to warrant any IDP consideration.
Tue Jun 3 201409:30Brown the favorite for Ravens No. 3 CB job
Chykie Brown is viewed as the frontrunner to be the Ravens' nickel back in 2014.
Brown's chief competition will be third-year CB Asa Jackson, who has drawn two suspensions since entering the league. They're trying to replace Corey Graham. Brown played just 39 defensive snaps last season but made nine tackles on special teams. The Ravens didn't draft a corner. They added three UDFA rookies.

Sat Apr 19 201416:58Chykie Brown currently listed as No. 3 corner
ESPN's Jamison Hensley considers Chykie Brown the slight favorite for the Ravens' No. 3 cornerback job.
The Ravens lost Corey Graham to free agency, so Brown and Asa Jackson are the only two corners behind Ladarius Webb and Jimmy Smith. Brown was active for all 16 games last season, but played just 39 defensive snaps. Baltimore remains highly likely to draft a cornerback in the first four rounds.
