Jordan recorded three tackles (two solo), a sack, and a fumble recovery in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers.
Jordan stuffed the box score and was particularly impressive in the fourth quarter when the Saints were rallying. Though his usually-solid tackle numbers have not been up to snuff - he has only five tackles through two games - Jordan should once again have another good opportunity to make some noise in the opposition's backfield in Week 3, against a pedestrian Panthers' offensive line that has allowed Cam Newton to be sacked four times so far this year.

Jordan made two tackles in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.
It was a disappointing start to the season for Jordan, who signed a big contract extension this offseason. That said, the Sunday's statistics don't necessarily reflect Jordan's performance. He was one of the few Saints defenders making his presence felt in the Arizona backfield, recording both his tackles for a loss and just missing bagging a sack on Carson Palmer. Jordan even knocked down two passes. After an up-and-down 2014 season, owners likely were hoping for more out of Jordan to start the 2015 season, but it's certainly not time to panic yet. He makes for a good play in Week 2 against a porous Tampa Bay offensive line.
Tue Jun 2 201511:07Cameron Jordan: Agrees To 5-Year Extension
Jordan has agreed to a five-year extension worth up to $60 million, Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports.
A first-round draft pick in 2011, Jordan has been one of the few consistent parts of the New Orleans defense in recent seasons, averaging 55 tackles and 9.3 sacks over the last three years. He's one of the top 3-4 defensive ends in the league, and he'll turn 26 in July. While his role isn't conducive to IDP production, Jordan did finish second on the Saints in defensive snaps last season, even playing every snap in multiple games.

Jordan managed 7.5 sacks, an interception and 51 tackles in 16 games in 2014.
Jordan was one of the Saints biggest disappointments this year, mustering only one sack in the first six weeks of the season. While he came on a bit towards the middle and end of the year, it may not have been enough for many fantasy owners, who expected big things after Jordan racked up 12.5 sacks in his 2013 Pro Bowl season. An additional pass rusher is high on the list of offseason priorities for the Saints, so hopefully the acquisition of a capable defensive end could assist in relieving some of the pressure on Jordan and result in a return to his previous form.

Jordan had six tackles (one solo), a sack and an interception in Sunday's win against the Steelers.
Sunday arguably marked Jordan's most complete game of the season, and his interception - the first of his career - was particularly impressive, as he batted a pass up straight into the air and had the wherewithal to pick it off. With a slate of subpar opposing offensive lines on the schedule, Jordan could be a fantastic option down the stretch for IDP owners if he can build on Sunday's big performance.

Jordan made four tackles (all solo) in Monday night's loss to the Ravens.
Back-to-back four-tackle performances have helped mitigate the fact that Jordan hasn't recorded a sack since Week 10, but he's unquestionably been a disappointment for fantasy owners this season, with only five sacks on the year. Still, the best option in most leagues is to stay the course with the young pass rusher, as the schedule turns favorable for him once again, starting in Week 13 against a porous Pittsburgh offensive line.

Jordan had three tackles (two solo), a sack and a fumble recovery in Sunday's loss to the 49ers.
Jordan continues to reward owners who stuck with him during his early-season struggles, as he now has four sacks in his last three games. The tackle numbers remain low relative to last year's Pro Bowl pace, but he's really started to pick up his production of late and makes for a great option in IDP leagues.

Jordan made four tackles (three solo) and a sack in Thursday's game against the Panthers.
After a disappointing start to the season, Jordan has racked up three sacks in his last two games combined. Hopefully his recent performances represent a trend, though it must be noted that his last two opponents, Green Bay and Carolina, rank among the worst in the league in protecting the quarterback. Things will be tougher in Week 10 against a very good 49er offensive line, so it will be interesting to see if Jordan can build on this momentum and re-stake his claim as one of the best young pass rushers in the league.

Jordan made three tackles (two solo) and two sacks in Sunday night's win against the Packers.
The Green Bay offensive line is a mess, and Jordan capitalized in prime time, notching sack nos. two and three for the year. Owners who have been patient with the struggling Jordan could be rewarded again on Thursday, as he faces a Carolina offense that ranks among the worst in the league in sacks allowed.

Jordan recorded three tackles (two solo) in Sunday's loss to the Lions.
Jordan now sits on a pedestrian 15 tackles for the year, but arguably more troubling for fantasy owners is the fact that he has only a single sack. It doesn't appear that Jordan is nursing any sort of injury, as he played on 64 of 70 defensive snaps. He just simply has not been productive after last season's Pro Bowl campaign. If there's any chance of turning it around it's over the next two weeks, when the Saints face the porous offensive lines of Green Bay and Carolina.

Jordan made four tackles (all solo) in Sunday's win against the Bucs.
It was nice to see Jordan finally show some signs of life, but the four tackles constitute nearly half of his 11 tackles for the entirety of the 2014 season. It's likely best to stay patient with Jordan in the hopes that the Saints can fix whatever is wrong with their anemic pass rush during the Week 6 bye, but fantasy owners can't be faulted for being frustrated, as Jordan still has only one sack to his name and remains well behind last season's pace in tackles.

Jordan made two tackles (both solo) and a sack in Sunday's win against the Vikings.
The sack was Jordan's first of the year, a welcomed site for fantasy owners. With only five tackles in three games, Jordan remains well off last year's pace, when he managed 47 tackles, but hopefully Sunday's quarterback takedown will set him up to get on a roll.
Mon Sep 15 201414:28Jordan made two tackles (none solo) in Sunday's loss to Browns
Jordan made two tackles (none solo) in Sunday's loss to the Browns. He did, however, bat down two passes at the line of scrimmage.
Jordan made only one tackle in the season opener, an extremely slow start for the young defensive end who made his first Pro Bowl appearance last year. While Jordan shouldn't be expected to post huge tackle totals, it would be wise for IDP owners to stay patient, as Jordan, who made 12.5 sacks in 2013, could get hot at any time.

Jordan had a sack and a forced fumble in Friday's preseason game against the Titans.
After a breakout campaign in 2013 in which he earned his first Pro Bowl invite, Jordan appears primed for another big season for the Saints. Entering only his fourth NFL season, Jordan should be one of the first defensive linemen off the board in IDP leagues as he attempts to build off his 12.5 sacks last year.
Mon Apr 21 201414:18Saints exercise DE Jordan's fifth-year option
Saints exercised RE Cameron Jordan's fifth-year club option for 2015.
It's a no-brainer move for New Orleans, which now has Jordan under control for $8.4 million over the next two seasons. A 2013 breakout player, Jordan graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 4 3-4 end, behind only J.J. Watt, Calais Campbell, and Kyle Williams. Only Watt received better pass-rush marks. Turning 25 in July, Jordan has 20.5 sacks and five forced fumbles the past two seasons.

Sat Nov 9 201321:30Cameron Jordan questionable for Week 10
Saints LE Cameron Jordan (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 10.
Jordan was limited in practice all week and will likely come down to a game-time decision. One of the best 3-4 ends in the NFL this season, Jordan is on pace for 46 tackles, 12 sacks, and four forced fumbles through eight games.

Sat Feb 9 201314:38Saints DE Jordan excited about Rob Ryan hire
Saints LE Cameron Jordan thinks Rob Ryan's 3-4 defense "suits" him and says it will be a "great fit."
"The 3-4 is what I ran in college and it's something similar to we ran with coach Gregg Williams," Jordan said. "It's a blitzing, attacking system, which will be fun. I think it suits me. Without a doubt [Junior Galette and Martez Wilson] will be the most excited about the situation. As long as everybody is on the same page I can't see why this wouldn't be a great fit for us." Jordan recorded eight sacks in 2012, his second season out of Cal. Galette and Wilson are tentatively expected to man the outside linebacker, pass-rushing spots. The three of them will be pieces to build around.

Fri Sep 30 201111:04Rookie DE Jordan has started all 3 games
Rookie DE Cam Jordan has started all three games this season.
Jordan has four solo tackles and three assists so far. Though he's yet to record a sack or forced fumble, he's credited with solid run defense. "I would say he's kind of in line with where we hoped he'd be," coach Sean Payton said. "He was a player we felt would play in the base as well as the nickel."

Fri Aug 19 201111:37Jordan progressing slowly at Saints camp
First-round DE Cam Jordan is progressing slowly at Saints camp.
Jordan is struggling to get a hold of the Saints' complicated defensive playbook, which includes both 4-3 and 3-4 looks. He'll play both end and tackle, forming a deep rotation with veterans like Will Smith, Alex Brown and Sedrick Ellis. Once up to speed, Jordan projects as a run-stuffer with difference-making athleticism.

Tue Aug 2 201113:50Saints lock up No. 20 overall pick Jordan
Saints agreed to terms with No. 20 overall pick DE Cam Jordan on a four-year contract.
Jordan will have to answer questions about his pass-rush ability after failing to register more than 5.5 sacks in a season at USC, but he does project as an impact run-stopper. Son of former Vikings Pro Bowl TE Steve Jordan, Cam has elite athleticism for a 3-4 end. Jordan is ticketed for the left side in New Orleans.
